That would have been rad as hell if they’d made it. But even if they had, it definitely wouldn’t have been sold here in the USA...

The ND2 has more power than the 124. And without the turbo. 181 to 168, for what it’s worth. The 124 does have higher max torque, though.
Whoa there, you’re pushing the Pun Machine too hard! Dial it back or I’ll be forced to put someone more responsible at the elm of this boat!
As a scientist who knows how much scientists like to have neat, clean definitions for their terms, I can’t tell you how truly surprised I am by this.
That’s totally fair! But an EV that’s equally big, equally fast, and 1500 lbs lighter would have a range measured in feet, not miles. Because the battery would have to be miniscule.
I have bad news about the relative energy density of batteries vis-a-vis gasoline... If this thing was a full-EV, it would be gaining 1500-2000 lbs.
Grille is good. I’m fine with it.
I really want to know what series of events would be required for the i3 to be the winner on a list that includes the M1, 1M and Z3/4Ms, and the Isetta.
This thing has been dead since they showed it to people. I don’t think I’ve ever even seen one in the wild. Ceasing production is really just a formality.
You could almost get a replacement hood for that money! Probably not painted, but still!

I know this is an incredibly complicated system that is likely not fully-understood by the likes of me, but is there some sense of when the dealership experience might go back to the, lets say, baseline level of terribleness?
Michael Jordan has one too. Ironically, it’s in Durham, much closer to Duke than to UNC.
Things like this are why we need a “control universe” to resolve these silly thought experiments. It’s hard to know in the moment if signing a guy after watching his first F1 race is brilliant or insane. It’s similarly hard to know how it’d have gone if Schumacher stayed with Jordan. Would whoever ran Jordan at the…
Sad but true.
Oh my yes they are.
This. 1000 times this.
I’d be willing to bet there are more Nazis living in the Hamptons than there are policing it.
Spencer sounds like exactly the type of nightmare-person who uses “summer” as a verb.
It’s not even really accurate to call losses divided by number of cars the per-car loss, because they’re still recouping the massive up-front development costs that occurred before they started selling vehicles. The first few examples of virtually every car ever sold could be said to be a “net loss per vehicle.” With…
