Has Ferrari given up, or have they become complacent?

Same here.

The bureaucracy will be expanding to meet the needs of the expanding bureaucracy.

There’s a lot of money selling bogus apocalypse solutions. After all, if the apocalypse actually happens, no one will be around to complain.

I have bad news for this plane. If civilization is engulfed in nuclear hellfire, the planes that would refuel this one, the fuel itself, and probably the pilots, went up in smoke too.

Preach

If an office dedicated to handling serious legal issues is dismissing 97% of them, they’re not pursuing bad actors, they are bad actors themselves and are actively creating new, worse problems.

I’ll never apologize for this.

The difference is this thing closes automatically, using a motor.

I had my chance. It was late 2018 and my trusty (don’t laugh) Cavalier got rear-ended by an Explorer who got rear ended by a Kia so hard it totalled MY car. I had just gotten my first Big Boy Job after grad school and post-doctoring. So it was time for something cooler.

Big same. I’d also have taken the depreciation hit on a new 4C in-period, had it been offered. Nothing drives like it that isn't a Lotus. That manual steering rack is the stuff of the gods

Haha I was hoping that was the case.

The “normal” ones look quite nice in my opinion. Way less try-hard.

That handle though...

List of Things You Are Not:

Oh, I’m in complete agreement with your point.

This. Rear facing seats are safer when the vehicle was designed for them to be there in the first place. Putting extra seats where none were supposed to go can go very badly for you.

To be clear: This is directed at the people who made those graphs.

It’s not just the devices themselves. It’s the deliberate design choices that force you to spend more money to get actual functionality. From weird ports to weird plugs, it’s kind of ludicrous.

That’s a much tougher question. If it was a “regular” car, maybe. But there’s basically none of these in the world. So if you’re in the market for one, I think you kinda have to take what’s available.  Or be very, very patient.  Or find someone who owns one and nag them to sell.
