Oh for the cry-ee-eye, just point at the scoreboard. Period. Raise arm, extend finger. Easy, peasy, eh, some fruit, squeezy.

And my favorite, borage. Plant it just about everywhere, and as a bonus, the young leaves taste exactly like cucumbers.

Long thought this would make a great “small” Batman film...

Especially since shit rolls downhill.

Read article, got all excited. Read comments, still excited. Read your comment, paused, back up to article.

Now playing

It’s quite simple, really. George Carlin illustrated the proper technique some time ago (relevant to this article begins at 1:00ish, but the whole bit applies).

Good gravy, this is glorious. I love soccer. I wish I wasn’t so American* and made more time to watch it. Crap, I’ve never even watched a full MLS game (saw lots of indoor Milwaukee Wave games back in the day...I be old).

Bye, Bo. Thank you so damn much. Now go relax.

Nice. Thanks for the infos, much appreciated.

Bourbon I can see, to a point. Obviously you find the anchovy paste doesn’t add too much saltiness. But I’m much more intrigued by the flavor it would bring. In both cases (bourbon and anchovy), how much do you usually use?

Oh, the brussel sprouts chips. Tomorrow I’m diving into traditional, “old country” stuffed cabbage rolls, but using sprouts leaves instead (the ginormous plant leaves...the little ones on the heads would be, er, difficult). If you haven’t hit those leaves yet, please try them. Awesome. Nutty, and delicious. I now like

I’ve been planting Borage in my gardens for years. It’s considered a “magic bullet” companion plant, supposedly helping everything it’s planted near in addition to it’s purple flowers attracting bees and other beneficial insects. Also fun is, and this is no joke, when the leaves are young, about 3”-5” long, they taste

Live in the Fox Valley of Wisco, yet I look forward to every 4th of July and Christmas when we make the pilgrimage to Duluth, of all places, where they have a fine assortment of GL beers. Everything they make is great, but it's in the horrid, snow-bound winter months that the real prize comes out: their Christmas Ale.

The Evil Empire, not to be outdone:

One of the best space-related moments of my life was watching the Shuttle chase the ISS from one horizon, over my head, to the other horizon. Just seconds in time, just bright white dots, screaming overhead. No dance, no particular elegance, maybe a little courtship?

Hmm. Also tried the grafted Indigo Apple this past summer, and while I agree it was prolific and beautiful, I disagree as to the taste. It was remarkably mild, not a hint of tartness or sweetness. Just smooth, delicate tomato flavor. This coming year I have slotted in the larger, Blue Beauty variety.

Absolutely.

Lot's of good beers and breweries mentioned in the comments here, but a bit saddened by the lack of any pub for Lake Louie, South Shore (Ashland), Tyranena, Door County, St Francis (Milwaukee), Titletown (G.B.), Stone Arch (Appleton), and Tribute (northern Wisco). All are putting out good or, in many cases, great

Polish. Moon. Requires considerable more love from the masses.

First, recommend for you admitting that you're not into hops. There are so few of us, we need to stand up for each other.
