I Brain You

Shut up.

DAMN! I felt that heat all way from here!

Best summation of the photo op:

“The civil rights movement was very complicated. You had very good people on both sides, let me tell you.”

On the one hand, this. On the other, the fact that Trump knows he HAS to say something on this day and can’t just ignore it, makes me feel the slightest bit better. Because you know if he ignored it, despite the media firestorm, he’d face no actual consequences and that’d be an awful signal to send all the MAGAts.

As much as it is good to criticize the man for this, Trump honoring MLK Jr. feels wrong to me as Trump probably would’ve been tweeting horrible things about MLK Jr. if he were alive today.

It’s Splinter so the answer would be no.

I really feel bad for the undergrad research assistant that in five years or so from now has to comb through social media and blogs for some professor that is writing a book about this era of politics.

I do not envy the person that has to comb through Twitter’s worst in order to write these articles.

ICE weren’t running around doing the shit they’ve been doing lately under Obama. Their current agenda is based solely upon who’s currently in charge.

I’ll be voting for Kamala, Beto, Bernie, Liz or Joe...whomever wins the primary because there is only one correct answer on 11/3/2020.

I’ll take it under consideration, but anybody who has watched an episode of Carmen San Diego is already more qualified than Trump, so that is strictly a during the primaries concern.

What they’re doing is in no way moral or even legal if you consider human rights. They’re asking you to work without pay. Strike.

Equating going on strike with “getting in the gutter” is so phenomenally misguided I honestly don’t even know where to begin with that.

As someone legally on strike I get this mentality (Los Angeles teacher here). We went through the legal process. However, Dr. King didn’t limit himself to the law, he limited himself to morality. If a strike helps end this thing, imo its a moral action.

I’m sorry, why can’t you strike? You aren’t allowed? You aren’t getting paid. All bets are off.

A libertarian offering a bad take?? I’m shocked, shocked I tells ya.

This is a bad take. Government functions tend to exist because the private sector will not pick them up. Sometimes the government will jumpstart an industry to make it profitable enough for private industry to get involved, but other things—like experimental science, for example—do not exist to make money. And others,

You private sector people confuse me.
