Sorry if you’ve heard this before, but I remember watching this movie and the one thing I could not suspend my disbelief over was the guy in the third act driving around NYC with a trunk full of guns looking for someone to shoot. In other words, the one thing in the movie that actually happens.

I avoided the sequel for years, and saw it well after I saw the third movie, which wasn’t very good itself. My assumption was that while it was surely a bad movie, the hype train had gotten out of control and it had become a meme to the point that there was no way that it could be as bad as everyone described.

“aww, no. i’ve seen this movie, the black guy dies first.”

I kind of liked that, really; in the original movie, Dr. Serizawa sacrifices himself to destroy Godzilla, a monster born of nuclear radiation, with the Oxygen Destroyer. In King of the Monsters, Dr. Serizawa sacrifices himself to revive Godzilla, a monster injured by the Oxygen Destroyer, with nuclear radiation.

In my mind, Christopher Reeve is the definitive Superman. He embodies everything I want Superman to be: courageous, humble, clever, inspiring.

Well, shit, now I can’t stop thinking about an Evangelion novelization written by King and how absolutely batshit inscrutable it’d be.

Abso-fucking-lutely.

“Finally, we found Skynet. We can take it down before it destroys humanity.”

I would kill for Marvel to do a “dark universe” line of movies based on the Midnight Sons comics from the 90's. Ya got Blade, Darkhold, Ghost Rider, Vengeance, etc...

I really love them all but, man. Something just hits different about Mononoke Hime. It feels like the film that has the most to say (and most cohesively) out of all his films. It also feels like a second take and refinement on a lot of the concepts from Nausicaa. I recently read that Miyazaki originally planned on it

Scotty hollering into the mouse was one of my most favorite movie moments.

“They started it and everybody was still alive when I left”

Ravi is The Best.

That’s sort of Warcraft’s aesthetic. Everyone is built like power lifters, even the mages, and everyone then slaps on shoulder pads big enough to serve a feast off of.

As someone who named his 4 y/o son Elliot this makes me happy. Not just because someone is bravely asserting who they are but because that name will now be associated with that same bravery. Good on you Elliot Page. My Elliot will learn who you are.

After this long, she’s probably tired of having to give deep-dives into the galactic-political nuances to uneducated Outer Rim-types who just end up calling her a jedi anyway because they figure any not-overtly-evil space wizard using a laser sword fits the trope.

Uther may have good intentions, but he was never a “solid dude.”

The way he handled Stratholme was abominable. “Well, I’m not going to help you Arthas murder all these innocent people, so I’m just going to leave.” *leaves and comes back to all the murdered people* “Curse you Arthas! Why have you done this thing that I

Well, that’s two movies I’m already sold on today. Love the look of Victor Lopez as the detective. Something about him just feels real to me. He looks like a rural area cop that’s dealing with some shit.

You would think a company like Disney would have more competent attorneys. This is established law in the US and you can’t half ass this shit.
