As I said to someone else, I believe the boys story because the girl seems like the type to lie to get others in trouble.

“The girl seems like the type”.

Oh yeah I’ve seen adults put words in kids mouths all the time. Plus a lot of kids can be tricked into “remembering” a situation differently pretty easily

Yep, it’s a form of manipulation.

Because a whole group of people grew up in an America where unions had already done the lion’s share of the work. Union shops were now good places to work, and a lot of non union places had generally picked up on good practices since it helped with things like employee retention, especially during the 90s. It also did

I did love the booting of that so-called ‘pickup artist’ guy (whose shtick consisted of going to Japan and assaulting women who were too polite to tell him to fuck off)....! The videos of those guys getting off their little party-boat to a fusillade of signs & jeers on the pier, it was great. :)

And, to be honest, I’m not really so fond of “positive” people before about 9am and at least one cup of coffee.

I mean, if my choices were this guy and Marco Rubio ... maybe I could just write in Cthulhu or something?

God, it must really be awful for those creators to have a bunch of people on the internet making assumptions about their intentions and criticizing them publicly. Good thing it’s only on twitter though, imagine if there was a whole app, just for that!

Even as a seven-year-old, I was so baffled at the drug lyceums my school would have where they claimed that drug dealers hang around the playground, give kids stickers with acid or LSD on them, and then the kids are hooked on drugs FOREVER! My allowance was $1 a week, I could not afford drugs. That’s just a horrible

You know what? I love the balls on Cara Sloane to tell a BCO story about her own fuck-up. Just about every one of these is told from the waiter’s point of view, so I am always curious as to how customers would tell one of these (and what the exact hell was goin on in their cerebellums)...

“So, your table stopped me and asked what kind of fish they had was because they thought you were lying to them; I told them it was cod and they asked why we didn’t have real fish.”

Okay, I haven’t read through yet, but last week, I discussed writing up a “BCO In Jokes Primer”... and here it is. For all those who are new...

I think it’s totally legitimate criticism— the trends they use for makeup and lip filler, etc. tends to make everyone look the same. Just a big mass of hair extensions, eye liner/eyebrows, and over-plumped pouty lips. Everyone should do what they want, but it sucks if you’re a young woman and feel you have to mimic

Exactly. I think it proves that everyone (at least those with dark hair and light to medium skin) looks pretty similar with all that makeup, especially the contouring, and lip plumper/filler/botox. It’s boring.

You were living the retail worker’s dream.* Must have felt good.

Yes, exactly! Anti-choicers don’t seem to care that banning abortion is just sweeping a whole lot of underlying problems under the rug. Besides the small failure rate of birth control, why do we have abortions? Because of poverty, because of our shameful state of parental leave and childcare, because of misinformation

I always put it this way to anti-choicers:

One of my friends on FB posted this yesterday. I think it’s beyond accurate:

I came to a realization lately - that yes, in a perfect world, we wouldn’t need planned parenthood or abortion because in a perfect world there would never be any reason for help like that to be sought. Like no one would ever be raped, no one would ever be in the wrong situation to raise a baby, everyone would be old
