I, thankfully, was in the basement of my childhood home (it was during the holidays-I stayed up all night reading and crying). If I’d attempted it on a plane, it would not have been pretty.

It’s either that or Blue Nights. Both pretty much gutted me.

I teared up watching this trailer just because it evoked my memory of reading The Year of Magical Thinking.

I’m sure it will, and only the parent company name is changing. For people that follow fashion and are familiar with parent companies like Coach and LVMH, this still feels like a very odd change for this company to make.

This is like the renaming of the Sears Tower. You bought a giant building with a widely-known name. You can technically rename it the Willis Tower, but no one will ever actually call it that, and you guys will look like a bunch of culturally out-of-touch dummies.

I do have tomorrow off, and I’m going to try an spend at least part of the day as you recommended (I have to get some stuff done- my dissertation defense is at the end of October...)

And I’m def. on top of the weed thing-I have a tens unit, pot, heating pads, cold packs, salon pas patches, basically everything otc you can use. The weed certainly helps a bit, but the pain when I wake up…

This week has been pretty awful. Spent Tuesday in a Kaiser urgent care for what I thought was a wrenched neck. It kept getting worse and now I’m waking up in horrible pain every morning and then spending my day loaded on high dose naproxen and muscle relaxants (while still going to work- so I have to drive there…
