Not really sure “exciting” is the word I’d pick

Classy.

They are slaves? No.. it is by choice. Actual slaves  would be horrified that you made this comparison and you should be ashamed.

Correct. If you decide to take ”gig” work... don’t complain about not having full benifits that a fulltime job offers and then cry to the .gov that you need them.

Excuse me? Some of us who live in California can read the ballot propositions and decide on our own what’s good for our state. Gig apps shouldn’t be full time jobs. Gig is right there in the name. I’m done with this site and it’s BS condescending articles.

The lines at chargers is only on very specific days in very specific areas. I’ve yet to experience a full supercharger myself, and that includes holiday driving. I hit up relatives every year and with an EV it felt no different. I also suspect that COVID might help this year if people are traveling less this year.

They are just now getting to price points that are getting closer to what people will spend for a car. Tesla still can’t make enough to meet their demand even as they create more factories.

The increase in trip time is not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. If you are doing about a 500 mile trip, thats 2 stops, one for food and one for coffee or a bathroom break, and you actually spend no extra time waiting for the car to charge. However if you plan to eat while driving, then you might need to

What if some of that additional inconvenience removed other inconveniences? Would you accept a trade-off of inconveniences? Like some inconvenience on road trips but less inconvenience during the rest of the year?

That’s a rather silly metric. When was the last time you drove 500 miles in the dead of winter without stopping?

I didn’t want to be the one to say it, but my first thought was that it was just a bad joke on Musky’s part, and when he started getting blasted for it, he removed it.

Agreed. It’s down .02% right now. This is click-bait material.

MFW Jalopnik misses the joke, then starts talking about stocks 😂

Bolivia just voted to become the next Venezuela.

Crossovers and SUVs exist:

How is this any different than when they had sedans of every size. At one time Chevrolet had Spark, Sonic, Cruze, Malibu, Impala and SS.

Thank you for being that guy.

Yea, that’s true. But as someone with limited money, virtue signaling around the environmental impacts of the rich is one of the few things that gives me joy.

It’ll be driven less than 15k and sit in a garage. It has an exceedingly low environmental impact.

Ferrari has a long wait list for these one of one cars. I don’t think the owner was considering the pandemic when they ordered the car a couple years ago. And sure, it costs the same as a bunch of PPE. Of course the issue with PPE right now is supply constrained, not specifically the ability to pay for it.
