I don’t even like Uber or self-driving cars, but that take is fucking lunacy.

A Morning Shift finally hit 5/5 wrong takes, congrats all around!

Welcome to Texas! Now, don’t go voting for the kind of people you just ran away from...

Please don’t repeat Newsom’s stupid narrative he just came up with to have a sound bite for the news. If he only just figured that statistic out then its even more of a problem.

Agreed. This article is not very well researched.

If I had to guess, I’d say people are leaving California due to the heartbreaking wildfires that seem to get worse and worse every year.

Couldn’t be the far left utopia they voted for not being what their state and local governments delivered? I know California was looking at a retroactive tax to fund COVID, repairs for the “mostly peaceful protests” and fires. The mayor of LA went pretty authoritarian at the first opportunity, and Newsom is about as

Why is the “Managing Editor “ guessing why Californians are fleeing the State when the information is readily available:

If I had to guess, I’d say people are leaving California due to the heartbreaking wildfires that seem to get worse and worse every year”

Yeah, this has absolutely nothing to do with the fires, and everything to do with the ridiculously high cost of living in places like San Francisco and LA.

Do you really think it’s the fires that began in the past 2-3 weeks causing people to flee the Bay Area and LA? Might it have more to do with the pandemic that has lasted 6 months or so and the much less business-friendly approach CA took compared to TX? Or perhaps the years-long increases in living costs that were

They are not leaving due to the wild fires. They are leaving due to the taxes, crime and other BS that California has instituted!

And most trucks I see have an empty bed, and most mx5s and m3s I see aren’t at the track. Hope you’ve never driven a 5 seat car alone to the mall because you’d be committing the cardinal sin of not using a vehicle to it’s fullest 100% of the time.

Typically you don’t get the crabs from just a Hummer

Looks like the 1993 Mercury Sable reborn.

I didn’t say it was good, bad or otherwise. Just that the city spent $10 million on something that is a speck of sand on the beach

The bigger the government agency, the less accountable they are for spending other people’s money, and the less common sense is involved and the more is wasted. This is almost universally true and not debatable.

This really has nothing to do with police.  This is just big government doing what big government has always done, and will always do... spend other peoples money.

Agreed. My guess is that the design brief said the seven slat grill was a non-negotiable. It looks like they tried to honor the ‘67-68 grill (first picture) but couldn’t quite pull it off.

“That’s the point. It’s supposed to compete with them.”
