My first reaction is to be disgusted with the boyfriend - but depression, suicidal tendencies, and addiction (which I assume is included here given his intoxicated state) are serious issues and I’m not sure that’s the right route. I do hope he gets help, though it’s going to be an extremely hard battle now…

Call me cynical, but wouldn’t this make fraud easier? All a baddie would need is a picture of your face, which can probably be found a gazillion places online, and then said baddie could print out a picture of your face, cut out the eye holes in order to “blink” for you, if we’re really just using facial recognition…

She also published the couple’s names and home address on the Internet and encouraged people to harass them. So there was much more emotional damage than just refusing them service.
