I want to hear the rest of the story...how much did we save not enforcing pot laws, encarceration, court costs, etc...I’m guessing the 62 million might be on the low side.
I wish the Duggar girls read her book and interviews, because their religion has made them feel shame and guilt of their own sexual abuse. I’m sure there is still this heavy load that they are carrying even after marriage.

Dear god. My first reaction is to be disgusted with the boyfriend - but depression, suicidal tendencies, and addiction (which I assume is included here given his intoxicated state) are serious issues and I’m not sure that’s the right route. I do hope he gets help, though it’s going to be an extremely hard battle now…

Call me cynical, but wouldn’t this make fraud easier? All a baddie would need is a picture of your face, which can probably be found a gazillion places online, and then said baddie could print out a picture of your face, cut out the eye holes in order to “blink” for you, if we’re really just using facial recognition…
This could cause some problems with identical twins.

If $135,000 seems like a lot just for emotional damages, it is worth noting that the baker did not just refuse them service. She also published the couple’s names and home address on the Internet and encouraged people to harass them. So there was much more emotional damage than just refusing them service.
