I think the only reason Feinstein publicly acknowledged it was because she found out Ronan Farrow was going to break the story. I truly don’t understand her motivation for sitting on this. 

I read his book several years ago and there is an unsettling section where he goes to his ex-girlfriend’s place, she comes home with someone else, and he folds up his wheelchair and hides under her bed and listens to them have sex (while commenting that new dude was not getting her off).

I think there’s a deeply embedded cynicism about what men are like under a microscope that actually helps these guys - the idea that while the world has male talent, there will be a endless cycle of throwing dudes like this out and replacing them with new dudes that will be discovered to be like this.

I would be far more open to the concept of rehabilitation if any of these men actually demonstrated remorse and a new understanding of why their behavior was wrong. Rehabilitation is not going to the Hamptons for six months and buying a new suit.
