she said she and the patient moved to the examination table where he grabbed her, “pulled himself against” her and “tried to force himself on” her. Dr. Peters said the man “did this twice” and that she rebuffed his advances both times. He allegedly proceeded to stand “beside the examination table and [satisfy] himself.

I just don’t understand why institutions and organizations stick their collective necks out and bend over backwards to protect predators. Even the sociopaths who’ve crushed everyone to get to the top of these organizations should understand the clear and present dangers people like this pose to the organization as a

Thank you. I understand the thought, but after a childhood of being told that "Alcoholism is a Family Disease"  I side-eye majorly after hearing such sentiments. It pissed me off being called sick because of the continuing actions of another person.

Ariana should find a quiet spot in the world to escape to ASAP after her eventual break-up with Pete Davidson. Because if he spirals out any time following, she is going to need to be far away from anywhere with an internet connection.

The people who like to accuse women of being a ball and chain, of leaving men whipped, of being ball-busters...are usually the same ones who in the same breath will accuse women of not doing enough to care for or protect men. Same misogyny, different applications.

Lucky you. I don’t know why we have it. Whether something happened yesterday or twenty years ago either there’s enough evidence to go to trial or there isn’t, that’s a big enough stumbling block for victims already, no need to add to it.

I had the pleasure of working with Emily for a few months. She is fantastic and has certainly used her platform to bring relevant issues forth. I was impressed with her then, even more so now. Get it, Em!

According to google, she doesn’t appear to have had much of a career at all apart from the one her husband created for her. The majority of her resume seems to have been the result of her relationship with Moonves. She went from being an intern at CBS and a low level assistant at ABC in the early 90s, to working an

Harassment? Those descriptions of having their head pushed onto his penis are straight up rape. RAPE.

I understand that might be a spouse’s immediate reaction. They don’t want to believe it could be true.

Yeah, and he’s going to get nailed to the wall by having to... *checks notes* ... accept $80 million dollars in stock options for stepping down willingly.

Showed him.

The Talk is going to be insufferable tomorrow.

I remember when Jill Abramson at the NYT supposedly had anger and likeability problems. Her male colleague put his fist through a wall, something she never did, but he didn’t get fired. Better yet, he took her job when she got fired.

That golden parachute is offensive. Moonves has had compensation in excess of $50 million per year for twenty years, so he absolutely doesn’t need one dime of it. His quibble over $180m vs the $100m offered by CBS is just vulgar. Hopefully now he won’t see a dime of it.

The progress is that it only took twelve women instead of north of fifty for some semblance of consequences. “Progress”, kids. I’ll just go and cry into my soup for a bit.

I’m betting that these are only the top 12 of the iceberg. Predators like this operate unchallenged for so long they just assume it's their right to keep taking. See also: Cosby, Weinstein

For context, here is his full Montana speech

He strikes me as the kind of guy who honestly doesn’t care if he has friends, as long as he has toadies.

A whole shitload of people?  Don’t forget The Cosby Show was one of the most culturally significant sitcoms of all time.  We aren’t talking about “Just the Ten of Us” here.

I mean, I made a bit player from 7th Heaven pose for a photo with me at a bakery. Some of us are just sadder in the evenings and we watch a lot of TV.
