This is peak FOX bullshit.

First off, work is work, and the people who do an honest job should be treated with dignity and respect, on the clock and off.

You know what LCK could do? Speak publicly on every available outlet telling men to leave the women who have spoken out about him alone. Make jokes about what fucking losers men who harass and threaten women are — over and over and over again until they get it and then over and over and over again. You know, use his

Like what things she did, for attention, in an industry all about gaininh attention being the path to success, that other people haven't done?

Oh those poor menz who had their lives ruined by #metoo! It has really gone so far! Those mean women, when can they learn to forgive? It is so unfair that he is being tried at the court of public opinion. He is truly a hero rising above the difficult times he has had to endure!

Yeah but to be fair, Griffin disrespected Donald Trump, one of the most popular and well regarded figures in American history. She crossed an unforgivable line, and in an industry as staid and refined as comedy I’m not sure that there’s a comeback for that. Louis CK’s indiscretions took place in private, and arguably

There’s a small update on the Vulture where they interview a couple of women in the audience—he was greeted warmly, but no mention of a standing o, and the applause was lighter on his way out. Predictably, the women shared a look with other women audience members who weren’t enthused. I’m replying here just to call out

At least he admits you’re funnier? But also, men are so damn sensitive.

I was a big fan of Louie before news of his misconduct surfaced. In part, that was because he seemed to have a pretty deep and nuanced understanding of how women are victimized by men. I was obviously disappointed when I learned of his behavior, but I am even more disappointed by his response.

Jerry Lewis said, when asked about Lucille Ball’s comedic talent, “I don’t think of women that way. They’re baby machines.”

One thing that also really bothers me about LCK, other than the actual sexual violations of course, is his constant, decades-long lying. Over and over and over again in interview after interview, he said he didn’t do anything. He called his victims liars. Then as he gained fame and influence he was able to demand that

Jen Kirkman also posted a thread about CK that is definitely worth reading:

Griffin forgot:

Louis CK walked into a standing ovation before he even opened his mouth. The message from the audience being we missed you, we are glad you rose above those crazy harpies who tried to bring you down. We protect power at all costs, while the vulnerable are left to wallow.

since he can still do a comedy set for free at a 200 seat club a year later, it means he got off easy. THAT’s how coveted fame is.”

Ehh, this kind of guy never gets it— all he knows is lip service. “OK, it’s been 9 months, have you girls settled down yet so we can go back to business as usual? Make me a sammich.”

There are several falsehoods here. 1) This is the only way he can make a living. 2) He “deserves” anything. You don’t deserve - you earn. 3) That anything he would earn would supersede the rights and feelings of his victims.

And that right there is the issue. He wants to be in the public eye again but hasn’t done anything in public to show anything is different. Sure, he lost a few projects and went away for a few months, but as far as anyone knows, that is the extent of what happened. Has anything changed? Has he done any counselling?

I love how men defending men accused of (or in this special case who has admitted to) sexual misconduct never know anything, much less the full story, except for one thing, and this they know vehemently: that human dignity rests upon that man maintaining his social position.

GIVE IT TO ME NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
