"Bang" would actually make a great nickname for pudding. Tapioca bang is my favorite. Chocolate bang is usually awful. How is that even possible?

Rape culture? Maybe? (There is no good reason.)

I'm curious about this too. I hope one of our resident Title IX or education law experts chimes in to explain the reasoning behind the confidentiality.

The "why" behind these demands seem to fall into two camps: those with good faith but rectifiable concerns that universities are engaging in a cover-up and those who hate the imposition of consequences for sexual assault without the sworn testimony of four male witnesses. Two guesses as to where Mr. Dioneo falls.

I think it's actually a regional difference within the US. New Yorkers say Jyro. Midwesterners say Yeero. I don't know what everyone else does.

Are you concerned about the accused facing consequences from the university without a criminal trial or about a university circumventing potential criminal prosecution? Title IX requires universities to take action.

The list says so (and at this point, it's probably true) but there is no confirmation by Jez or Bwog or anyone else.

Every goddamn day!

I would be interested to know whether Jezebel is in a position to report on whether the allegations are true, and if not, why not? This is not criticism, but genuine curiosity and lack of knowledge about journalistic ethics.

Must we go through this every damn day? It's not an either/or proposition.

I do not understand the decision to refuse to address whether the accusation is factual.

If there were a public police report, we would hear a lot of "innocent until proven guilty" comments, with the same purpose of persuading everyone that no one should consider the information lest the accused be affected in anyway.

I definitely got a Taylor Swift vibe.

In the real world women tell their boyfriends about a guy being anonymously accused of assault and the boyfriends rush to defend the guy from such scurrilous accusations. I don't think the "drunken brawl" population overlaps with the "takes rape allegations seriously" population.

Is ruining someone's reputation more or less serious than more college students being assaulted because those already found "responsible" for sexual assault have not been removed from campus?

Thank you for highlighting the actual range of consequences from this list. A dude might not get a date. Not arrests, convictions, suspensions, or lynching.

I have to agree with you. I don't think ER-level trauma would occur without the introduction of Coca-Cola to this experiment. I clicked the article to see how a 2-liter would factor in.

Whoa! How did you even find that person!?

Nope, but the needing to run but being stuck walking on your knees? All the time.
