The OA is still the weirdest, coolest thing I’ve seen on Netflix. Is it better than some of the shows on this list?
None of what you’re talking about has escaped me. That’s why I don’t step foot in any church and haven’t for years (outside of funerals and the occasional wedding.)
Yeah, this is all very gross. If I had had a sexual encounter with someone I’d be hugely insulted if they asked this of me afterwards, and I wouldn’t do it. But that’s easy for me to say as a grown woman. These are college girls who don’t know any better. It’s completely dehumanizing, and on top of that, I don’t see…
I decided it’s a roguelite, and that was my reason for not including it. I don’t think a game can count as a Metroidvania when you have to start over every 34 seconds : )
The worst part about the rampant nepo babies articles on websites is that they’re all riding the coattails of another article while missing the point.
Live your life how you want, but don’t confuse drama with happiness – Ron Swanson
I’m a big fan of Raknarok, and Love & Thunder is the most I’ve enjoyed anything from Marvel since the first Iron Man and Captain America: First Avenger. But a change in direction for Thor sounds good too.
None of this happened.
I’m not what you would call a big JRPG players but Skies was my game when it came out on the Dreamcast, I replayed it at least a dozen times and when they released the remaster on GameCube it was a day one purchase for me.
I did not. In fact, I think this is the first time I’ve heard of the game, or at least the first time I’ve looked into it.
I had to raise an eyebrow at the people who said they’ve been working at GS for 10 years and said this was the final straw that motivated them to quit. The last two years alone have been full of upheavals both in GS alone and the job market at large. But then again, maybe their supervisor’s were stringing them along…
“Everything is awful, all the time... is one hell of a take to see as support of fascism.”
DBZ, etc... are the ones that were most available on TV for the past generation. For current little ones growing up, they will have a much broader range with streaming services.
Like I mentioned in the “Piccolo is black” article, if you weren’t around in 2004, it was an entirely different place. Like yes, Toonami was popular, but there was absolutely a stigma attached to anime at the time that labeled you a nerd—especially you were black.
I’ve seen it from the nerd side of things too, guys who are really into anime that end up getting really buff. NGL, Hajime no Ippo absolutely got me hyped to do some training but in the end Oreos won that battle.
Goku is practically a Saint for the heavy gym-going community.
It’s still crazy to me that anime is mainstream now and not the weird thing I enjoy but have to keep secret for fear of being bullied. Like I get compliments from strangers on my Yu Yu Hakusho shirt just going to the grocery store.
Protip: complaining about something you’re not invested enough to read through fully is really, really ignorant.
you need to learn to separate your overemotional reactions to critiques of video games from reality. There’s nothing biased in this piece at all. It’s a generally positive review calling the game a success at what it wanted to be. He offered a critique as it stands up against modern games of the same genre and how a…
