Out here in the real world, I’d say that if you’re a teenage girl with working parents or a only a working mom, no money, and no siblings that can watch you, you’re likely to get involved with a horrible person whether your parents want you to or not.

I’ve realized it’s no longer even slightly a joke that I end so many comments on the internet with “What I’m trying to say is: We’re doomed” It’s just… how things are now.

Teachers unions, bless them, get the full pressure from the right and center whenever they stand up for themselves.  They don’t have the leisure of being universally supportive of their worst actors, or even those accused.

I like this guy.

No lies spoken, but… chill out, man. Don’t harsh the vibe.

“She’s human and said some dumb shit cause she was mad.” Is not entirely inaccurate.

Well, in his defense(?), having to see a black president drove quite a few people crazy further right. It’s a pretty interesting phenomenon, and I often wonder about how it has echoed into our current climate.

Just a reminder: Robert Downey Jr., while quite possibly a very nice man on a personal level, is probably not down with any cause that is not Robert Downey Jr. He probably wouldn’t be a fan of seeing posts from Chris Evans or Mark Ruffalo dealing with social justice issues every day, and probably sees no need to pay

Would’ve been nice to see an official skin of this sort.

I’ll admit that my experience is possibly colored by how I”m playing the game: Basically, I’m juggling the plot.”

Um… nah. And I’m usually one for giving people a day in court before judging.

I’m no lawyer, but is there not a difference talking to reporters with the expectation of anonymity, and going to full-ass court and putting your business on front street? I mean, I know there are constant ongoing assaults (from those constitution loving protectors of the free press, our politicians) against the press

“As you may know, yesterday a parent, who is also an alumna and a former trustee, sent a letter to the Board of Trustees to voice her strong objection“

That’s my sort of thing. Tapping into a sort of creative waking dream until it’s actual sleeping. I thought that would be pretty much common sense really.

Mental health is a serious issue, down the board. The fact is that we are largely not equipped to take proper care of ourselves or each other, and there needs to be a radical restructuring of our priorities to deal with that. The way we live is literally driving people crazy, whether we have a prexisting chemical

Maybe a better way to discuss this is to point out that our bullshit-focused culture outright rejects nuance and forces all of us to take single paragraph stances on complicated issues.

The logic is unimpeachable.  Co-signed.

No matter how rich, or popular, privileged white dudes stay minding other people’s business. Like, why was any of that even his concern? Where are his friends and family? Can they come get their boy and make him feel loved somehow?

I... maybe I’m misreading: Does the writer think Jeremy Renner played Jason Bourne?

Checked out the main page and it sounds like fun.  Thanks for the suggestion.
