Thanks!
I think people don’t like it, because people who vape like to point out the fact that it can basically be done where smoking typically isn’t allowed, yet people who want to complain about someone smoking say indoors, really cant say anything because it’s technically different.
My wife is a bar tender / server and she consistantly has to ask people to stop vaping- more than once- both on the outdoor patio and INSIDE the restaurant! She never has to tell someone to stop smoking a cigarette anywhere on premises. But the douche vapers all act like rebelious teens who need to be told 2-3 times…
1)It still stinks
The biggest part for me is that the 2nd hand smoke was generally confined to outdoors, vaping has brought it back indoors.
Understandable. My wife and daughter are prone to migraines and simply walking through a cloud of vape smoke triggers migraines for them. It’s harder for me to understand sometimes, but when it happens and I see them suffering, I really don’t need any further explanation.
No question - cowshit has volume, but dogshit has stink and tenacity
When initially I read that part of the negative stigma was due to certain organization not wanting a safer form of smoking, I chalked it off to paranoia. But then I read a number of statements made by the American Lung Association, Cancer societies, etc. and I have to say there was something to that. The zeal some of…
I think that’s what a lot of people do, unfortunately for the majority of the people that vape, the “loudest” ones blowing massive clouds in peoples faces are what everyone sees and associates with vaping. The vast majority of us have quietly, and successfully, used it as a tool to quit tobacco. Now, I can’t say that…
My son’s experience in college is that there are always a bunch of people standing right outside the door to one of the buildings he spends most of his time in, and he dislikes having to enter and exit through a fruity-smelling nicotine cloud several time each day.
But it is still a cloud of nicotine, even if it is less visible than smoke.
It was the minor comment. I’m shocked it isn’t all 50. Terrible
Vaping is preferable to smoking (for those who have to share the air) as stepping in cowshit is preferable to stepping in dogshit. Better, strictly speaking, but neither is good.
I know some people who “use e-cigs” to help quit- they’re not douchebags. Every “vaper” I see in public is blowing giant clouds of foul-smelling residue with racist names like ‘thug juice.’
Remember the pod of Juggalos in your high school? They’re vapers today.
It doesn’t create a layer. VG/PG are both water soluble, they break down rapidly in the body into harmless compounds that are excreted in the urine.
While I’m sure it’s less harmless than half the crap in a cigarette, it’s still crap
Farting and garlic breath isn’t dangerous to your health, but I’d appreciate it if you didn’t do one and have the other.
My problem with it is that people use the excuse that “its not bad for you” to use it anywhere. My school has desginated smoking areas and that was fine for cigarettes, but as soon as vaping got big, all the sudden non-smokers started taking it up because they thought it was a free way to do hookah where ever,…
You’re probably right about most people being discrete, but theres definitely a group who aren’t.
Can’t tell which of my comments you were replying to, but I’m guessing it’s the minor thing?
