The fact that it NEEDS to be banned not just on airplanes but at jobs or college libraries is a testament to the shit they try to pull all the damn time. Probably as others said, people are tired of the Vape shops clogging every shopping center looking like it is tiajuana . That and tired of the vapers who somehow think they’ve found a magic loophole to start smoking in public again. It’s been nice to have a few years of being able to stand in line without assholes…

its more the general demeanor of vape pens, and those who use them. I am all for the alternative to smoking, and anything that helps people get over their addiction and ultimately quit.

One plus I’ll give e-cigs: Next time you are at stoplight or intersection, look at the median or curbs. You don’t see the remnants of e-cigs littering the streets....yet.

Most people might be discreet, but the ones that aren’t are far from it. And they don’t know exactly what the health impacts vaping have on the users and the people around them.

The entitlement that they think they can still do it anywhere with no repercussion on the harms or annoyance it causes on others.

For the most part its because its annoying and many of the people who vape seem to think that because its not “smoking” they can do it wherever they want.

I suspect there’s a lot - a lot - of tobacco company Astroturf on the web trying to make it douchey.

Because vaping is still medically undesirable, potentially addictive, and the effects of vaping for life haven’t been scientifically determined yet. At least, that’s why I’m not very into it.

I’d guess it has something to do with the bro try hards that do all the advertising and run all the shops. Around here the vape shops have the most garish, over the top signage and advertising.
