I actually really appreciate this article’s use of “underemployed” vs “unemployed". It's respectful to artists who are usually constantly working at something but not making enough money at their art. Thanks!

Uber makes it hard to tip unless you carry cash, though. I do find that annoying because sometimes I want to tip and don’t have cash. I thought they made 80% of the fare?

In the same time, we here in Canada have announced, ran, and completed an election and the new government is in power long since.

it’s not wise to believe “it’s ok for cops to crack the skulls of people I don’t like,” ‘cos eventually they’ll find or be given a reason to crack your skull.

Its not that they can’t lay claim to damages, its just that taking on the federal government in each aspect is near impossible. See also: Native americans, descendants of slaves.

This family’s problems are mere childs play compared, but the time and money required to fight for some form of compensation is outrageous

So fedgov’s low ball offer is fair because of how fedgov has impaired the value of the land?

“they don’t have a mill on site” Cause the effing Government blew it up you fool

So, if the government came up to your house, which you have had for 60 years, blew up your garage, exposed you to radiation when claiming it was safe and used gang-land tactics to try and take over your land with hostile intent (from bullying and ‘security checkpoints) and THEN tried to pay you, you’d be like “Sure,

If the phone was a machete, I’d buy it, but it wasn’t.

I was manhandled by a cop like this. I lived in a small, backwards midwestern town. I happened to have a small amount of pot on me (young and carefree) and someone told him I had it. He ran at me from across the building, and spear-tackled me from the back, slammed me into the ground, picked me up by the throat,

The child is an orphan. Her mother died in January, her grandmother in July. She was just put into foster care. Her “crime” was looking at her phone for a moment. When she refused to leave class after being yelled at, the teacher/admin/cop called a nuclear strike in on the depressed orphan. That’s the part you are

It doesn’t hurt that Clinton and Richards are about 19x smarter than anyone else in the room.

while i disagree that there is ever a smart way to break the law, i generally agree that riders must take advantage of everything they can to stay alive.

You are right Jalop, you don’t get to chose which traffic laws you want to observe. In this case we have two of the millions of idiots that are on the road. I am a bicycle nut, I ride my bike every chance I get, and I absolutely hate bicyclists. They never obey the law and take others right of way and wonder why they
