Agreed. It’s why it’s unfortunate I have to specify the 2015-2018 Chrysler 200 when I discuss this. When they changed the name from Sebring to 200, they should have also done the remodel then. Fortunately, I don’t think FCA existed yet in 2012.

Counterpoint, everything you mentioned here is why it deserved better. Last of the bare bones sports car. Didn’t adapt to force dinduction/smaller engines. Focused on function over form (especially on the track focused ones with all of the wings). Only reason they stopped selling them was because of the mandatory side

Remember when we thought $10k markup was insane?

Previous Sebring/200 was an old Mitsubishi based platform. This UF platform derived from the FCA compact sedan platform and was way too good for a Chrysler product

Said it before and I’ll say it again: 2015-2017 Chrysler 200.

100%*

I was under 5 years old when this all came to surface, but I don’t recall any other vehicles with the same Firestone tires having this big of an issue? All I can think of (again, without doing any research) are the goodyear tires on RVs

IIRC, the TB and the Rendezvous were on different platforms. I believe the Rendy and the Equinox were platform siblings. Versatrak might be one of GM’s biggest failures

Can’t fix stupid, but you can fix supplier quality

60 deaths from a supplier issue is 60 too many

Insane. Why would anyone want the heavier, slower, less fuel efficient, and more expensive Taurus when the Fusion exists (SHO omitting)

Edge, Equinox, Buick’s Rendezvous...they all suck

NO, I DEMAND TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER’ S MANAGER!

I’ll do the Michael Jordan rule and not count the Ecosport. Everyone knows MJ is the greatest like how everyone knows the Ecosport is the worst.

I’m too lazy to fact check this, but a buddy of mine who sold Fords told me the interior space of a Fusion and a Taurus are almost identical. Never buy a Taurus unless its a SHO or a wagon

This is an atrocious take. The Flex was Ford’s last good crossover. Crossovers now have some of the worst passenger space; which kind of is the main purpose of a crossover (at least that’s what every consumer says). It basically was a minivan without the sliding doors.

My dad used to fill prescriptions for Barry Sorkin. In return, he would hook my dad and I up with some free BBQ from his place. Still the best pulled pork I ever had

Easy solution to this debacle:

The last gen 200 was a great car and I’ll die on that hill
