Great article. My only question is can this be resolved with aftermarket solutions? Take the Demon for example. There were cases of the rear differential “exploding” during launches (the thing it was marketed for). Vendors came out with structural bracing to help keep the rear end from grenading. I wonder if off road

Base Sport 4x4 5-speed model on factory all season tires. Moved well in the trails, modest hill climbs were successful. Held its own for a while until I misjudged the depth of a waterhole. I was very lucky I didn’t damage anything

If it’s not encrusted in diamonds I don’t want it

Why buy toilets when you can find one curbside for free?!

We’re not, and that’s what makes this even better

My dad is this frugal. His Sunday tradition is to clip coupons and listen to blues music. His mind was blown when he discovered websites that send you deals and offers.

No joke I thought this was an elaborate campaign for Ford’s new F150 with the onboard generator.

$200k and you still have to select a $130 CD player option?!

This guy gets it

They sell like hotcakes. All because it fits the general population’s preference of “sitting up higher” and “AWD”

Actual conversation I had with my buddy’s wife:

Don’t get me wrong, we all like the G Wagen (I knew I botched that spelling in the OP), but it’s not the ultimate vehicle.

Their ideal beginner’s vehicle is a Chevy Trax.

99% of the people ripping on the Kia Soul on the interwebs aren’t car folks. They think the Mercedes G Wagon is the ultimate vehicle when we all know which car is always the answer

I can see how people wouldn’t like the look of it. My question is, then, what were you expecting? I thought they would look more like NASCAR stock cars with a lot less design from the windtunnel. I wasn’t expecting the giant wing or nose. Or maybe something like the most recent IROC series vehicles.

Building the new TC on an AWD capable platform would please so many consumers. Almost everyone on TC forums and facebook groups beg for an AWD variant. Me, on the other hand, simply request an LSD and a manual option. A Transit Connect ST would be the only vehicle I would buy brand new.

As long as there’s decent dirt racing happening without several stops or cautions (aside from actual crashes for safety), I’m all in regardless.

Mine.

I’ve honestly never cared for the overall design of the i8. The front isn’t awful, but doesn’t blow me away either. IMO, it tried to pull the futuristic look too much. A great example of a vehicle that captured style ahead of its time was the Audi R8.
