All I hope is that it opens the door for more affordable EV vehicles. It’s cool, but the average consumer needs a practical EV with SOME cool features. The Bolt is a great step in the right direction. Let’s keep it going.

Obvious answer: Buy a used Transit Connect Cargo van for $10k, use the remaining money to swap a Focus RS powertrain. 300+hp awd manual race van. PLUS, room in the back for spare tires, tools, and a cooler full of beers.

This came to mind when you went into full detail about the difference between the 7 and 9 inch tips.

Besides for the general criteria of “safety”, seat belts are not in the same category as auto-stop or lane keeping assists IMO. A seat belt won’t weaken your driving skills the more you rely on them, rather than paying less attention to keeping yourself in the lane because you rely on the car’s system to do it for
