Transit, although too tall, would be a riot to Rallycross. Especially if equipped with the ecoboost engine.

That was my point. Although mentioned in the article briefly, it almost came off like that was the entry point in getting some competitive organized racing.

Never said it was better or worse; but if that type of racing it out of your budget, this is a great way to get some experience without dropping thousands

Jeep should have done this to make an SRT Renegade. I read up on a few owners taking the Abarth engine equipped manual renegades and squeezing over 300 horspower out of 1.4L of boosted engine. Apparently it can be done with a few bolt-ons and a tune. I miss my manual renegade.
