Well, compared to the cab companies, they still come out ahead.

This is just PR. The unfortunate reality is that the majority of people have no idea how any of this works.
Which is why every interview should be treated as two-way, as the candidate interviewing the employer as well. While it can be difficult if unemployed or otherwise more ‘desperate’, it’s not just about whether a candidate is a fit, but whether the employer is a fit, and whether it’s a place you’d actually want to work.
It’ll cost the same anyway, too. Price drops don’t seem to exist with Nintendo hardware anymore unless there’s a new “improved” model and then the old is quickly discontinued.
What does nepotism have to do with waiting 6 months to schedule an interview?
It may not even be about poverty or not, but even just to know whether you’re wasting your time.
They actually made that into a movie, but called it The 13th Warrior (with Antonio Banderas).
Yeah in 1993 they didn’t know they were feathered, at least not beyond a few species. Not that it really matters as they used creative license with a few dinosaurs.
I’m similar, but for me, it was primarily one thing: getting a driver’s license.
And that just points out the real issue, which is that a lot of hiring managers are not very good at their job.
I would definitely agree with you, but one thing being overlooked is the actual skill/ability of the interviewer. HR reps may be more familiar, but lack any relevant expertise in evaluating a candidate for any job beyond HR, but among your average manager, few have any proper training with interviews, some don’t like…
Based on my own experience, I think a large degree of it can be attributed to being “safer.” Situations where interviewers either don’t know how to properly evaluate candidates (or not being qualified to evaluate specific candidates, such as when HR is involved), are unwilling to risk the decision on their own…
Even aside from that, even if you plan to see Covenant, if a 4-minute prologue on YouTube is “required viewing” that you “have to watch” then shouldn’t it be in the actual movie? If not watching it means you’d be lost, that in itself is an argument that the movie is poorly made.
This might be the best approach, and is essentially “handle your own shit.”
On kind of the flip side, I’ve learned that when I’m hearing about conversations/dialogue second-hand, and someone is alleged to have said something outrageous like that, I need to confirm specifically that they are alleged to say those EXACT words.
The accountability should be on the person with the barking dog.
Sounds like you’re just trying to disarm the term, rather than focus on the problem being overly sensitive types that are achingly desperate to make themselves relevant.
You can view it however you want, doesn’t change anything about the meaning the word is communicating. The word defines a type of personality.
It’s allegedly called Shadow of the Tomb Raider, but has not been officially announced. It’s also apparently being worked on by both Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal, just like these Marvel games.
White desk and all-white walls creep me out. Also, anyone who leaves their walls white after moving in. Makes rooms look like dull government buildings or asylums.
