This has no benefit to me whatsoever. Firstly, I would lose it in almost no time. Second, I wouldn't keep it in all the time because I only have 3 USB ports and one is taken up by a keyboard, while another is usually in use by my iPhone. Plus, its probably more expensive than an already small enough regular flash

Well, an admob survey shows that a lot of kids have uses for an iPod touch and probably can't afford a smartphone. Almost half of iPod touches are owned by teenagers. You may not find a use in them, but a lot of kids do. [metrics.admob.com]

@Kaiser-Machead v.2.1.1: Sadly, FaceTime doesn't work with iChat which is why one might want FaceTime on Mac.

@iScuba: The average consumer doesn't know or care about root access and is probably better off that way. Android is a consumer device and needs to conform to what consumers want and can understand.
