Hmm, I wont argue with you on that. But on a lighter note, who uses Windows Media Player on windows itself, let alone on macs? I've never used mac but I had to understand some of ios4 so that my dad could use his iphone4 and I found it quite restrictive. Why do I have to sync all my music/ringtones/videos through

Given how many of the recent sci-fi-ish shows have turned out (Lost, in the end; Falling Skies; Terra Nova) I think it should be a requirement for TV Shows to share the complete scripts of their planned 3-4-5 seasons to prove that they wont just start doing whatever comes to mind after the initial premise has been

Yea even I can't help being a little cynical. I'm sure they did think that ok, this could be a nice gesture. But perhaps they didn't want attention away from their event? Or they wanted to wait to ios5, see what it brings and modify their own offering before release? These possibilities seem more likely to me but

So to avoid being a troll one must announce and release all things first in the US. Got it, thanks Giz!

US only phone? Can you gimme a link that verifies your claim?

Damn! Yet another anti-G+ rant. "a relative ghost town of privately shared links about how G+ is a ghost town." Really? Don't even have any polite reactions to this...

It's a valid point. I haven't tried Siri but Google's Voice Search gets pretty confused with my accent, which is an Indian accent (not Apu's from Simpsons mind you). In my head I think in English, so I consider it my first language. But my accent is still Indian. When I speak in my imitation of George Bush accent,

Page is just expressing what is perhaps a dream that many of us share. I for one would love to be able to do anything on the internet just using my google id. I loved it when Google bought Youtube and I loved it when they came out with G+. I even wanted them to buy wikipedia but then they tried that knol thing.

and is this a one way street? I can't see the "mac community" having any intimate feelings for microsoft...

I really love fringe and religiously wait for every new episode but I'm getting a little tired of this whole "how things have changed now that peter isn't around" and "peter's coming back but how" excitement. Why would I be interested in this when I know that the Observsers are outside the timelines and are sort of

Can't help but side with the posts here that wonder like me what Giz's got against G+ all of a sudden. It seems like there's some rant about it every day. And that's the point isn't it? It's a rant. So I second (third, fourth) the view expressed here that just label this post a rant...

This may be a silly question, but aren't there any voice assistants that don't need me to be connected to the internet to work? I can see why I need net connection to check the weather, but why to simply call a contact? I'm using Google Voice Search on an HTC Desire HD

My problem exactly, I've got an Indian accent (which isn't anything like Apu mind you, and I tried speaking like Apu too just to see if they've got him programmed for!)

I've using the HTC Desire HD for a while and am finally bored of the Sense UI. I know there is a handy lifehacker guide to jailbreaking an android phone somewhere. Could someone give me a link for that?

Hey, good point! I do the same and I'm thinking now that most honeycomb users would be too because it makes no point to be browsing on a 10 inch tab and opening up the mobile versions of sites.

Android tabs are doing somewhat ok here in India. Samsung's 7 inch tab came here way back last year and I saw a lot of them going around. Then with the 10 inch tab Samsung's been quite active with its advertising and you can see a lot of them around. In fact it felt quite nice having my own 10 inch tab for over a

Exactly! Am I the only one who's noticed this quote from Downey comes right around the time the trailer for the Avengers has released?

I'm liking the expected Iron Man vs. Cap'n Sam playoff, and how Thor gives a wry laugh after Tony's reply gives a nice vibe of "he'll enjoy watching those two bicker." Also, like how Mark Ruffalo plays Bruce Banner's "Thank you" to Tony's "I'm impressed you go green" spiel

Since when I saw the movie Thor I've been wishing Andy Whitfield (Spartacus) could have done the role...

Yeah, but Fringe s1 still had Walter's zaniness and it was explored every episode. Here, the only comparable I find is the chemistry between Nathaniel and Jim and even that wasn't explored this episode. I'm with you on how Terra Nova is seeming mediocre, but Fringe not so much :)
