Can you post a link?

I just have a subscription I paid for out of pocket. Wasn’t aware I don’t get the full thing.

I’m on the side that these reports are invalid, but I could definitely see the US calling for a media blackout on the situation if it did happen.

I subscribe to Stratfor and I’m not seeing it.

I have to assume that these reports are invalid. After a quick search it looks like this was first reported last night. I find it hard to believe it would remain under the radar that long if it was valid, and the incorrect ID of a Russian MiG-29 doesn’t help either.

I’m not reading “propaganda” I’m looking at hard numbers. Is the Brent crude price western propaganda?

Did you notice the date on that article Mr. Jones? Brent Crude was above $60 a barrel in mid April. It’s currently under $50. That makes a massive difference to the Russian economy. Not to mention any economy primarily built on commodities exports is inherently unstable.

The long-term goal is Russian regime change. They have huge economic issues, but more importantly they have demographic issues that are too far gone to reverse. In 20 years we may very well see Russia as we know it fracture again.

I think you’re just used to seeing a tail gunner there on B-24s and B-25s.

It is a classic and has held up surprisingly well considering the Soviet Union collapsed 25 years ago.

LadyErrant you are correct. It’s how we humans hunted before we finished evolving the thinky-thinky parts. Sweating and an upright stance allows us to run long distances during the day, when most animals are forced to stop and pant to cool down.

The Hunt for Red October. Its on Netflix. Watch it now.

It gets a lot of hate, but the MV-22 was incredibly useful after Yolanda in the Philippines. The extended range made all the difference.

And parties hate you. Have fun drinking shitty vodka alone.

Hey FYI you confused the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea...

Makes total sense. I didn’t think about the gear reduction at the nose.

I actually though so too, but Baron says he has talked to guys that work on them, and there is no rear radar. He’s pretty knowledgable on this sort of thing.

In the Soviet days, you just needed a pair of Levis to trade for just about any garment made behind the curtain.

As TheBaron2112 has pointed out, there is no rear facing radar array in any Su-27 derivative.

I assume it’s for better corrosion resistance. That’s why we have red barns and a reddish Golden Gate Bridge.
