It’s identical to a Russian drone that has been used in Ukraine.

Appears to be some kind of modified Orlan-10 that has been used in Ukraine. Good pic here:

Poland and Lithuania recently opened their LNG import facilities. Lithuania will gladly pay 10% extra for Norwegian natural gas that doesn’t come with geopolitical baggage.

How about the Air Force spaceplane drone? The one that can perform maintenance (and manipulate) satellites. There’s one in orbit right now...

The shuttle launch system is amazing in terms of weight thrown to LEO, but the need for the immense orbiter to be a part of it makes it only marginally more useful than a Falcon 9 per launch.

ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US!

There is a magnitude of difference in naval capabilities between the US and the rest of the world combined. The US Navy could sink the entire PLAN over a long weekend. Meanwhile no PLAN ship has ever even ventured into the Atlantic Ocean.

They already existed as uninhabited and disputed spits of sand, the Chinese just built them up so they could add runways and artificial harbors. They were technically just sandbars in the middle of international waters, but now the Chinese are wanting to enforce a minimum 12 mile ring around each island. Luckily the

There’s a paper I read somewhere written up by Navy research engineers that determined the effect of Exocets on Iowa armor. An Exocet would’ve caused little to no damage to the belt, which is where most AShM target. Of course the Chinese have supersonic sunburn missiles that would do far more damage than an Exocet,

The USS Pueblo looks really sad.

Sorry that was supposed to say CVN-71, the USS Theodore Roosevelt.

Carriers are certainly special, but this wouldn’t go down like the EP-3 incident.

If the PLAN sunk an LCS, the US Navy’s response would be quick and incredibly powerful. At the very least those islands would be wiped clean of any building or infrastructure the Chinese have been working to build.

CVN-1 is currently underway in the Bay of Bengal. Unfortunately they left their carrier air wing on shore in the Persian Gulf.

We have a right to every nautical mile of international water on the planet. Unless it’s within 12 miles of an artificial island, it’s international water.

Several meters? I think you must be exaggerating. That would imply at least 3 meters (10 feet) of steel armor, which is pretty much impenetrable by anything.

I’ve heard from current Army Blackhawk pilots that Bell is wasting time pushing a tilt-rotor concept to the Army. As a purely rotorcraft branch, the Army has no training capability or facilities for tilt-rotors. And none of the Army pilots trust them. They may sell well to the Marines or to foreign investors, but the

C-130’s, C-17’s, Army and Marine helicopter units (including the V-22) all are incredible disaster response aircraft. Nimitz and Wasp class carriers are perfect staging platforms for rescue operations and relief efforts. I remember after the Haiti earthquake a carrier provided drinking water for hundreds of thousands
