From what I saw, it was a very real depiction of people in the depth of addiction. I have known people like that and there is absolutely nothing entertaining about it. It is heartbreaking.

I was married to an addict and being around anyone on drugs makes me CRAZY uneasy. That movie also really made me think about how many kids are at the mercy of people on hardcore drugs and it made me so fucking sad.

My firstborn was only a few months old when “Trainspotting” came out. The scenes with the baby traumatized me so much that they are literally all I remember about the movie now (other than, vaguely, the scene with the awful toilet).

Trainspotting is the reason I never, ever, touched drugs.....that scene was....never did I want to be as messed up as that movie was....

The dead baby in the first one still haunts me. Fuck that was traumatizing!

The excuses are really more for themselves than for the cops. There’s some part of these people, deep down, that understands the systemic bigotry that leads to these killings and is terrified of the fact that they just don’t care. It’s an existential crisis at the realization that they’re only half a step away from

My half-black son was born Sept 5th, here in Kansas City, while those protests raged across the state. Because the AA communities in StL and KC are so intertwined I actually am friends with one of Micheal Brown’s cousins, and not thru my husband.

The quickness with which the talking point became “BUT HES A CRIMINAL” was unsurprising, but disgusting. We see them, the people who secretly approve of young black men being executed in our streets - they extend their bigoted claws to desperately grab any flimsy justification offered by others with similarly

America - where if you’re black, shoplifting is a death sentence.

Of course not. Government is evil, but corporations are good.

Remember that time people lost their kazoo over a line in the ACA about medical biochips being added to a database and they thought it was an illuminati Obama conspiracy to implant all American citizens with a tracking chip of death?

I do hope those same people will contest an actual corporate gene

There’s a eugenics bent to all of this that’s really frightening. The idea that people who need to use a lot of healthcare are dragging the whole world down and should be allowed to die off so as to “strengthen the herd.”

They’ve wanted to fit in the vagina for years. Now, for DNA, they’re microsizing their goal.

My company is already financially punishes us if we don’t take wellness test, which is fine by me at this point, one less doctors appointment. But generic testing is on a level of “Minority Report”.

It’s a triad. I’ve also heard of “trouple” and “throuple”, although take that with a grain of salt, from a monogamist who just happens to have known some poly folks.

I repeat: Standard use does not make it any less microagressive. Threesomes are a sex act, not a relationship model. The appropriate way to refer to three people in a romantic relationship together is a “triad” or “throuple.” Language has meaning. Insisting on calling them “threesomes” only serves to perpetuate the

Yes, this was a poly triad, not a threesome. But of course, those without understanding of polyamory (or any marginalized relationship model) are incapable of discussing it without fixating on the sex. I’m just gonna start calling all monogamous couples “twosomes” from here on.

The judge took cues from the boy himself in making the unusual decision.

The combination of his facial hair/expression and the way his pants look make me want to beat him with an aluminum baseball bat.

Don’t put this on Kevins. It’s a total Brody move.
