...those of us who need those rights and like it when there are people with power supporting us?

No! Which is especially ludicrous when one considers how many people deported this way don’t even speak the language of the country they then have to navigate! I know *so* many people who were born elsewhere but grew up here and only or primarily speak English.

Because she could pull a ‘Phyllis Schlafly’ and actively spend her free time denouncing equality & depriving women of the rights & privileges she enjoys.

To answer all your questions: because these people are evil sociopaths. I see no other plausible answer anymore.

I’m speaking in regards to Mexico because I don’t know about other countries but there’s actually a MAJOR lack of services for those who return to Mexico in these conditions. Many don’t speak Spanish, or speak it very well and they get stuck into extremely low paying jobs that can be done in English, like call centers

My guess is you’re given a one way ticket out and you’re on your own.

Like it or not, being rich and privileged brings varying degrees of attention, influence and power. Barbara Bush the Younger might not have as much power as some others in her family, but I am glad she is throwing her weight behind this cause, and I hope she persuades some conservatives that Planned Parenthood is

Since Prescott Bush helped support Planned Parenthood in the 1940's, there might be the idea that the women in that family aren’t as braindead as some of the other men, hmmmm?

Well, since this is a hotly contested issue in many parts of the country, and she might be in a better position to sway people who on the fence about it, I’d imagine a lot of people who care about women having access to reproductive rights give a shit about this.

As the wife of a Republican politician, she always played coy regarding her opinions and beliefs. As soon as W. left the White House, she opened up and clearly stated her support for abortion rights and same-sex marriage.

I’m seeing Reba

I sort of see the Rashida and would like to throw Reba McEntire into the mix.

Its easier when you have millions of dollars saved

I know this isn’t a very extreme case of it, but I honestly live for women who grow up and say ‘fuck you’ to their fathers’ restrictive view points.

Yeah I mean, the general public needs to get the fuck over this. This is the silliest thing to stay worked up about, IMO. The actors/people involved in La la land and moonlight have a right to still be upset, even the organizers of the Oscars. And the accounting firm who staffed the event. But the general public? No.

With the current climate of baby boomers trying to set the world on fire before they all die, I’ve found myself just eye rolling so hard at all of this trivial bullshit. I get it, sports, celebrity, whatever, they’re escapes from what’s really going on. But what if what’s really going on shouldn’t be escaped from?

THANK YOU. Jesus Christ this is not important and I do not care in the least whether or not they are punished for their grave offense.

Seriously, this. I mean they’re already going down in history as the ones who fucked up the Academy Awards and been banned by the Academy from participating again, done and done, leave them alone.

Thank you. This whole planet is fucking insane.

Can you imagine being the sort of person who wakes up in the morning and decides that your activity for the day will be track down and post online identifying information of some accountants who fucked up a stupid awards show? With the intention that someone will harm or at least threaten these accountants? Again, not
