I mean, being an *sshole is not entirely binary, there’s a whole spectrum of *ssholism, and you should decide for yourself where you draw your own line in the sand. I can live with a dev overstating a game’s features, up to a point, but I’m not that ok with this situation, for example.

Man, I love the originals, but the reboot was very well done. Try it, it’s awesome, and XCOM 2 takes it to a whole other level.

I’d add Full Metal Furies to this list. It’s from the creators of Rogue Legacy and plays kinda like Castle Crashers, but each of its 4 characters plays very different from each other (two of them use guns!), and some of the swappable skills completely change how you play.

Or a name that gives you only the slightest clue as to what it is.

A lower stakes version of this is a roller skate powerslide. Though the added weight and speed of a motorcycle would make it waaaay more difficult.

The thing is, grind is valid content. I love my Outer Wilds, Baba is Yous and Mass Effects, but sometimes I get home tired from work and all I want is to shoot some foreheads in Destiny or smash some mobs in Diablo 3, without having to dedicate mental bandwith to story or puzzle solving, you know?

The whole games-as-a-service part is pretty bad, as is the endgame content. That said, the game looks good, the campaign was pretty decent and I think I’ve enjoyed it enough to justify the asking price.

With so many creepy/dangerous Ghost and Psychic pokémon around, I’d wager Dark-type pokémon are insanely prized for self defense.

I commented on Schreier’s piece that his comparison to Return of The Obra Dinn had sold me on it. Having finished Outer Wilds, I just wanted to say it’s a good comparison, and also to thank you guys for pointing me towards this absolute gem of a game.

On the one hand, no one can decide what offends another. People find it offensive, so it’s offensive. Period.

Bullseye? It’s in the Hand’s temple, and the camera is indeed pretty bad. I’m actually enjoying the game, though, despite its flaws.
