I didn’t say it was, or is, a bad game (I haven’t played it, so I wouldn’t even know). I just said it left a bad taste in the mouth. When we look back to 2017 in the future, we will judge this negatively, even if they repaired the damage afterwards. Also, the fact they tried to pull this off is, in itself, a sore spot

Sorry for the delay, didn’t have much free time this past week. Like I said, it’s just experience-sharing, from what I can gather from the article. It may seem useless to you, but company A can tell company B of what they already tried, so they don’t keep making the same mistakes. Plain information has way more power

I also like the “boring” ones, though my favorite is the hosomaki, and among them, tekkamaki in particular. Also, if you have the chance to try ōtoro tuna sashimi, take it! It’s the best fish you’ll ever try (if you haven’t already).

You are not wrong at all, but you have to remember that value is relative. On one hand, $26 for 7 hours worth of content is pretty cheap compared to a movie. Compare it to the likes of Zelda BOTW, though, and the comparison is way less flattering. I personally think it’s fine, but I can also understand people that

Then maybe you need to play better games =P. And, since text can’t convey tone, this was not meant to be snarky.

Most games already have to deal with international/multicultural player bases. Hell, a lot of them are stronger overseas than domestically.

On this we agree. I just think most people don’t realize the internet is a giant mic for the whole world to hear.

I’m not at all comparing these cases. It’s usually clearer to use the logical extreme for exemplifying a point you’re trying to make. In this case, I’m pointing out that when the stated goal of a movement is incompatible with its practical results, what people and history care about is the results, not the original

I’m not saying it is your problem, I’m just saying it is what it is.

I do know what they state. I also think that it doesn’t matter where it started, if the end result is death threats and harrasment.

Really? I assumed they used Doom tech. Thanks for the info, man.

You can be a bigot for supporting GamerGate, though.

People of color also doesn’t necessarily mean “black”. Moors would mostly be non-whites, and moor merchants were pretty widespread across large chunks of Europe, particularly in coastal trading hubs.

I think he’s referring to the fact that the engine only takes two axes(is that the right plural form of axis?) into account. That’s why you don’t have to aim up to hit a flying enemy and you can’t have two floors stacked on top of each other.

I don’t even think as offense/defense as different classes, TBH. And supports really needed the love, being the least represented class on release (also, mind that Symmetra isn’t really a Support).

Mind you, this was before an interview. He was, therefore, representing the company he works for in a professional setting, saying inappropriate things to people from outside of his company.

They could be making new fans. Instead, they’re damaging the brand (both Chrono Trigger’s and Square Enix’s). Sacrificing long-term good will for short-term profits seems like a text-book case of short-sightedness to me.

The cool thing is that it comes with a Millenium Falcon to boot.

90k in one month is nothing to scoff at (I mean, I wish I made that kind of money) but she’s billed as THE top cosplayer, right? For the best in her field, 90k isn’t all that much, if you compare her to the top players in sports, movies, and especially business.

Shooting takes only hand-eye coordination on the physical part, same as video games. And pro gamers have physical injuries, mostly because of the stress put on their hands and arms. I’m not necessarily defending the inclusion of esports in the Olympics, just pointing out that this gate’s been opened already, IMO.
