They seem to be quickly establishing the Switch as a good home for indie devs, with a well curated library of fewer, high quality games. I think Kotaku even reported that Steamworld Dig 2 sold better on the Switch than on Steam, possibly due to the less crowded marketplace.

Well, we keep on buying the stuff they make, of course he’s happy. EA said yesterday that they forecast 10 million copies of Battlefront II sold until march. That’s 4 million units less than the first game, sure, but it’s still 10 million friggin’ units!

Or with The Sims 3 and Zelda BOTW and it’s my wife.

Ryu is 53, but Sakura is 40, so she can do whatever she wants.

It’s not like you would be telling your kid to shovel coal, or anything. I think telling your kid to put in a little work in a game is perfectly fine, regardless of age.

On the one hand, yeah, sure, acting. On the other, he’s a real dick to anyone that runs into him and is not in on the joke. Anthony Hopkins never ate another man (hopefully), but Guy Beahm was in fact an asshole to other people while playing games “in character”.

If nothing else, it at least generated a lot of free buzz. I don’t really care, I’m just happy we’ll see GUNNM.

*Sheds a tear for Karnsteins*

If this happens, I’m blaming you, personally, for jinxing it.

A. Running or swimming are less expensive than buying a game system, yet people still watch marathons and swimming competitions.

While I get your point, it’s a pretty good game to play on the fly. I’d buy it again if I had a Switch.

Doom and Wolfenstein were hits, but not “massive”, as in the same scale as Skyrim or these microtransaction-laden AAA games.

God damn it Plunkett / Wasted opportunity / You should be ashamed

The game is amazing, no doubt, but he’s not wrong. You can make a masterpiece and still f*ck up an element or two.

I don’t think art can ever be perfect, but I pretty much agree with the rest. I was just pointing out that an intellectual property can be a great fit on more than one medium (as I said, I think Dinky was just using hyperbole when he said “perfect”).

I don’t really see a contradiction. You can surpass a masterpiece. I’d say both versions of LOTR are masterpieces, although people disagree on which one is better.

So... best game of all time? I mean, a standard Terry Crews is a solid 10/10 in my book.

It’s probably a really bad choice for this weekly roundup, though.

He’s just using hyperbole to say anime suits this universe very well. And even if you recognize the original for the masterpiece it is, one could still have the opinion that anime is a superior medium for it.

Disappointed to see her wielding a rifle. She should be using a pistol that deals surprising amounts of damage.
