I feel like it’s the animations that lack impact.

I mean, it was filed to THINGS THAT ARE TRUE, so it must be.
Aren’t the thrusters on these ships sideways?
Poor Reggie. After that it will be “now do a proper Star Fox!”, and then it will be high time for another Pikmin, and then people will be eagerly awaiting Smash Bros Switch, and then...
I think artistic design trumps visual style. I also love Super Metroid to bits, but, nostalgia aside, Samus Returns looks great. You’re free to disagree, but I actually think I prefer it to AM2R, as far as visuals go.
I think he was referring to the whole “moving forward” thing. After Syndicate they could go sideways to a lot of different places (maybe European colonies in the East or Africa), but moving forwards probably meant hitting WWI.
Yeah, they seem to nail very different genres on their first try. Amazing.
Yeah, but Nintendo usually presents a high enough level of innovation and polish in each iteration of its established franchises that they don’t really feel like CoD, AC or Far Cry sequels do (maybe apart from Pokémon, I guess).
You’re not wrong, but between ARMS, Splatoon 2, Mario and Zelda (one of which I’m already playing and it’s the bomb), Nintendo’s 2017 lineup is so much more exciting than the others’. I know none of those were announced in this E3, but people are just hyped about Nintendo for the first time in an eternity.
Don’t take me wrong, I also love everything they did! It’s just that MoTN is still my favorite Klei game, and probably my favorite stealth game in general.
Looks cool. The only thing that makes me sad is that we’ll probably never get Mark of The Ninja 2. With the exception of Shank 2, Klei doesn’t do sequels, it seems.
To be honest with you, the DLC that has been released so far has been kinda lackluster. Nothing close to Enemy Within, in terms of changing how the game feels. That said, the base XCOM 2 game is amazing, and I’d tell you to do multiple playthroughs, anyway.
I’ll be honest with you, I’ve already come to terms with the death of the Bioware I knew and loved. I played, but didn’t finish Inquisition and Andromeda (they weren’t bad, they just weren’t, you know, anything special), and I’ve finished almost all of their games since Baldur’s Gate.
This is the least impressive Fine Art I’ve seen yet.
Jason, you are the main reason I keep coming back to Kotaku. Thanks for another amazing read!
Andromeda was really fun for a while, but started to become a grind later on, at least for me. Like Inquisition before it, I couldn’t force myself to power through the later parts of it, especially after buying Breath of The Wild.
M’aiq speaks the truth.
A collectible in the new Doom.
Is it bad? I haven’t watched it, but it’s got a 76% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
They also made the best stealth game ever! A bit said that at this point I don’t really see them doing Mark of The Ninja 2 any time soon.
