I mostly only buy indie games close to launch nowadays, in particular multiplayer ones, which have communities that may wither down the line. They’re usually cheap already, the devs could generally use the money and, since they are more focused, more often than not have fewer problems at launch. I stay away from Early

Matsuda is putting the cart so far ahead of the horses there isn’t enough rope in the world to connect them.

They could make it so that suicides don’t tick down the counter. Random spawns would mitigate a pair of trolls working in tandem, too, in that case.

Cool! Good times playing through it with my fiancée!

My fiancée doesn’t like it that much (she loves Totoro and Kiki), and I kinda see her point about the movie’s pacing problems. It’s still my favorite, though.

True, and I’m usually the first one to point this out. It seems, however, the issue here is not lack of severity, but impunity.

Is he... wearing Hyrule Warriors version’s blue scarf?

I’ve got two stories for you!

Seems like we got a winner to this argument.

The game is fairly open-ended, but that seems to me to be the case. There are some definite answers to be found and an attentive player is pretty much assured to get the means to figure the plot out.

Yeah, not spoiling anything is a big hurdle to discussing this game. Thing is, puzzles are actually a pretty good parallel, but the puzzle solving happens entirely inside your head, and the conclusion itself is open ended, so there are no goalposts, you see? When you get to the room’s exit in Portal you unequivocally

The story in this game is really really good, believe me. It’s just that most games have something like a mechanical goal (beat a boss, finish a puzzle) and the narrative just follows suit. In Her Story, figuring stuff out IS the “mechanical” goal so there’s nothing like a Final Fantasy victory fanfare or anything

I’ve never entered MNA, but it seems like I feel the same about F3. Never got that into it because it didn’t really feel like the world of Fallout. New Vegas, for all of its flaws (that Strip is so disappointing), felt like Obsidian understood the world in a way Bethesda never did.

This is the nicest response I’ve ever seen to having been invaded and stolen from. Canadians, you are adorable!

Or they can go “Robin 5, standing by”, and so on!

Never heard about it before. Bought it and finished it last night (sacrificing some sleep).

Never really thought about it, but what is the reasoning behind most starfighters in sci-fi having transparent canopies? Wouldn’t it make more sense to have a hard amor everywhere, with a giant screen inside, like in Titanfall?

Know what’s hard (-ish), though? Coming up with an entertaining theory. I think this video’s is kinda dull, but there are some pretty cool fan theories floating around.

I’ll raise you one Banner Saga, one Transistor and (this is an oldie by now, I guess) one Hitman.

Agreed. It does not, however, show anything related to how the game will play (other than, you know, there’s a gun).
