It’s weird seeing people so excited for this game when it’s basically a prettier looking J-Stars (which was bad!) Maybe it’s because that game wasn’t really marketed over here?

haha, still better than the alternative!

I laughed out loud at that website at the end.

I mean, it looks like devil may cry combat with the somewhat campy feel found in the mainline games. I don’t think Nero being the star is so bad and I am super excited as a fan of both DmC AND DMC4.

Just watched the trailer again and the revving is indeed super obvious. I played the HD remake last year and I don’t even remember who Kirie is haha!

Nice. There is a surprisingly large contingent of people that thought Nero was DmC dante, despite actual Dante being shown at the end of the trailer.

I somehow missed the revving. I should probably watch this thing again...

haha, nice!

yup, caught that. I wasnt sure if that was indeed Nero, though it would make sense that he’d get a robo replacement for his demon arm.

So that’s definitely Nero then? This was the best part of Microsoft’s conference by far! More directors on stage please.

I feel like Reggie even said they wanted to make sure people were aware of a Switch game before showing off Samus Returns. Hey, they did the same thing with Fire Emblem and now Pokemon too!

I think Nintendo learned from Federation Force when they announced Prime 4 BEFORE showing a brand new 3DS Metroid. Judging by how EA is the only company that hasn’t improved their conference in the past 5 years, I doubt they will change any time soon.

Can I get a Genki Rockets rendition of Theme A and B please?

ah yes. Reading the latest issue of Gamefan while my mom does all the work. Of course, you have to join back in once she gets to the ice cream aisle.

Voice chat for the eshop would be SICK.

If you’re referring to the anime art style, then maybe a more realistic look would appeal to a larger audience. It would definitely need to have some influencers on youtube getting the name across whereas a lot of people will buy a game simply because it’s got that anime look.

I agree that each has its issues, but not the ones you’ve mentioned here. The first game has a pretty unlikeable cast of characters and the gem system is super tedious.

The cut scenes are also pretty boring. I think Xenosaga 2 is actually pretty bad altogether. Cut scenes in Xenoblade 2 are long but entertaining and well directed so I don’t mind when they sometimes go for over 20 minutes.

I put roughly 170 hours into it, though you can probably chop off 20 now that you can skip some menu-related stuff. Your mileage may vary. :)

Each game in the series has a couple things that really tarnish an otherwise great game. The original is still my favorite, but only because I like the scale and design of that world. I’m also one of the few people that loves all of the soundtracks (though those NLA themes in X are just...baffling).
