yeah the ability to fast forward game speed in the FF XII remake was fantastic. :)

Once you can easily perform smash combos and chain elemental combos, the combat does get pretty satisfying. I feel like they should have made early game enemies with much lower HP to compensate and speed things up a bit.

I love the Xenoblade series but have a tough time recommending them. They’re super long and the trailers always make the combat look incredibly boring. You really have to love exploring and the most recent game is pretty heavy on anime tropes.

That’s true for things that are released separate from one another, but when you have different things in the same universe releasing around the same time it’s a little different. I think Inti Creates just has a small team of developers that can only do 8-bit style games so they put them to work on this thing after wrapping up Mighty Gunvolt Burst.

This feels worse after having watched that special with the voice actors a couple weeks ago. Hopefully he recovers soon. :(
