I mean...Horizon Zero Dawn has all of those elements too. Assassin’s Creed Origins does as well. Nier is sort of an rpg, but so is almost every action/adventure game out there. If we’re going to insist on giving awards to genres, we should probably focus on the key gameplay elements.

It’s so crazy that Tokido is a more successful SFV player, but still gets portrayed as the underdog against Daigo. It would be nice to see Daigo win an EVO or CPT as he clearly has the skill to do so.

I actually really dug the in depth look at mario tennis. Meter management like a fighting game with lots of modes? I’m in!

As soon as I noticed the look of the trailer and the OG Splatoon designs, I knew it had to be smash. But that logo still made me clap in excitement.

If they show Rosalina for Mario Tennis, I’ll be satisfied.

Square did something similar with the collector’s edition guide of Final Fantasy XII. Good thing I was working at gamestop at the time! Was able to grab one of the only Frans available. :D

I wonder if they’re making these ports in Unity. I had similar tiling issues where you had to really zoom way in to get it right. We created an autogrid to make things snap after a lot of testing, but it’s not perfect.

I haven’t played it, but I’ve only heard universal praise. I’m pretty sure it was at least nominated.
