I’d actually say Mario selling 9 million copies in 3 months is the most impressive to me (though not as INTERESTING as splatoon).

It really makes me wonder if the PC version will be capable of displaying the characters properly. I’m not sure if it’s normal maps, textures, the character mesh, or all of them combined, but it’s really strange how different they look. Normally the only real issue is lighting, but it’s clearly more in this case.

It’s a real bummer that sustaining a multiplayer game nowadays requires an enormous community. It’s too bad they can’t keep it going with less servers and upkeep.

Despite sounding gross on paper, “Koi wa Ameagari no You ni” has been pretty great.

the subtle story bits you got from missions in the original on Dreamcast along with each character’s endings are still my favorite in the series.

Sorry, I read it back when the game was announced. They had an article and an interview with the producer that both mentioned the game takes place shortly BEFORE Soul Calibur. I’m not sure about the timeline between that and Soul Edge though.

Interesting. I don’t remember any hints about that in the main story, but that’s cool to know.

I don’t think Siegfried was a separate character in 2. In fact I think there was a costume for Nightmare instead. But yeah 3-5 were 2 very different characters.

It’s cool that you can get an idea of what Nightmare’s identity is in each game is based on his design. He’s way less human in IV because he is in fact just a suit of armor and not actually Seigfried anymore. They humanized him again in V because he was now a different human, older and more dignified. And now in VI he…

It really feels like this show says “here’s an anime trope, oh my god look at this reference out of nowhere!” I may give it a shot if there’s a little more to the humor, but this season I’ve laughed a whole lot more at Osumatsu-san and Gintama.

Damn, I guess I never saw the alternate Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater box art. Almost looks like it’s a different game entirely!

This is one of the smartest moves Microsoft’s made in a long time. I wonder if it will bring Rocket League-like success to Sea of Thieves.

Yup, they fixed the map issue and now this. My 2 biggest gripes about the game.

It’s strange because in Japanese the Nopon say “mophu” after everything and it fits their soft/fluffy appearance. Saying “meh” after everything just sounds like they’re completely apathetic all the time.

I bet they’d just like to crawl into a Big Hole right about now.

I believe there is an overdrive protocol in each of the major cities (they let you swap drivers for blades). I don’t think it’s spoiling things TOO much to say that eventually (very late in the game), Rex is able to use all blades no matter who their driver is.
