The "AIDS virus" is HIV. These monkeys are full-stop not getting infected with (a simian-human hybrid) HIV, not just prevented from getting AIDS. To me, preventing AIDS means something different than preventing HIV infection (although I understand that where access to antiretroviral treatment is constrained the
