I’ve suddenly found myself playing the campaign for StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty out of nowhere. I bought it when it came out and then just never played it. Just got back from taking my son to see it. It was fun, he was delighted, and I’m a hero for a day for letting him stay up late to go see a movie on a school night. The Yoshi egg made him smile.

I think I watched some YouTube videos for boss fight tips when I was well and truly stuck, and I had to look up where the other medallion half was to unlock that damn elevator, but otherwise I went into it blind. I resolve to keep doing what I’ve been doing, which is to only buy games that I’m going to play right away or very soon. I’ve managed it for the past 7 or 8 months now, and it's freeing. My backlog has gotten very small because of it.
