I’ve been consistently playing Tears of the Kingdom for an hour a week. So I should have that done in another few months -_-.

I have no idea. I’m suffering a bit from paralysis of choice. I think I might just go outside and touch grass.

This weekend I’m bringing my son with me to visit my dad, which means I’ll be giving my dad another lesson in how to play video games.

Thanks for all your time and energy, Luke. Be well.

I’ve suddenly found myself playing the campaign for StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty out of nowhere. I bought it when it came out and then just never played it. I played the hell out of the first one with friends in high school, so playing 2 now is an unexpected jolt of nostalgia. After all this time, I’m still rubbish

Goodness, I have idea what I’ll be playing. I just finished Steelrising, which was much more fun than I thought it would be, but with family visiting this weekend I don’t think I’ll have much time for games. Maybe Pentiment or Moss: Book II.

Well this is a pleasant surprise. Looking forward to hearing a refreshed take on the forest maze theme, which still gets stuck in my head all these years later.

The Lies of P demo got me interested enough in beating up French puppets that I decided to get Steelrising while it was on sale. It’s not bad. It’s scratching the Soulsy murder corridor itch, at least. I may also finally start Metroid Prime Remastered. It's possible I haven't actually played that since it first came

The moment he explains the plan to his entire army was priceless. The look on the koopa troopas’ faces mirrored that experience we’ve all had at least once when your otherwise mostly competent boss makes a decision so baffling that it defies all reason. It went right over my son’s head, but I was just like, “Yes,

Just got back from taking my son to see it. It was fun, he was delighted, and I’m a hero for a day for letting him stay up late to go see a movie on a school night. The Yoshi egg made him smile.

I think I watched some YouTube videos for boss fight tips when I was well and truly stuck, and I had to look up where the other medallion half was to unlock that damn elevator, but otherwise I went into it blind. I generally don’t watch playthrough videos because I’d rather spend that time actually playing the game.

In my case it was just that I wasn’t very good at it. I mean, I started off well enough, but I never really got into a groove the way I have with every other FromSoftware game. I never felt like I was in control, no matter where I went or how long I spent leveling up. I probably just needed to tweak my build, but I

I realize I’m the outlier here, but Elden Ring is last place for me. I enjoyed the first 20 hours, and then slogged my way through the next 80 out of a sense of loyalty. It made me realize that I like my open worlds to be fluff like the Horizon games or BOTW, and I like my FromSoftware games to be tightly designed, mur

I came away from it feeling it was a very solid 7.

When all you have is a Witcher with a hammer, everything looks like it can be nailed.

Thanks for posting this again this year. I’ve just about run out of games to play with my son, so I’ll see which of these he might like.

I resolve to keep doing what I’ve been doing, which is to only buy games that I’m going to play right away or very soon. I’ve managed it for the past 7 or 8 months now, and it's freeing. My backlog has gotten very small because of it.

Don’t bother, a look through his comment history will show you how desperate for attention he is.

Best paired with: All the love in your heart.

I would assume the next Spider-Man game gets pushed back, too. Seems a good rule of thumb for any game to add a few months or a whole season to the first release date announcement.
