When I'm sewing for cosplay, I don't care if it's inaccurate to the artwork, I will always change darts to princess seams. Darts blow. Princess seams are awesome.

I've been meaning to watch The West Wing for years, finally started this week.

I traded a bunch of garden tomatoes for a flat of nectarines from Masumoto Farms (a friend adopts a tree). After eating a bunch of them out-of-hand, I made nectarine-habanero jam (which is FANTASTIC), and I have the rest currently macerating for a shrub.

It's a helpful term for me, since it means I don't have to explain what asexuality is to dudes who hit on me and who then want to argue that they can "cure" me.

X Japan is a good choice if you want to completely blow your voice out. One of my friends has a particular love for "Endless Rain." I tried to do "Forever Love" once, got about a third of the way through, couldn't talk the next day.

That's my favorite concerto, I have three or four recordings of it (and the sheet music, obviously).

It looks like I might have a regular music gig starting next month. Just church services, and not much pay, but I'm excited to get back into oboe-ing.
