Hmmm, I don’t think she ever explicitly said she never wanted to do another X-movie again. Her statement on Apocalypse being her last movie was true - it’s the last one she’s contracted to do and she says so in the original interview.

Gawd, we can’t ever have shit to ourselves before y’all come in and steal it.

Singer has mentioned she’s one of the new main characters in addition to Scott and Jean for this movie, so we’re getting a full origin and story arc for her. Yippee!

I hope the “Michelle” name is just a cover to keep her role secret. I really hope she’s Felicia Hardy.

I think seeing a martial arts character and saying “he should be Asian” based on nothing else but that he’s a martial arts character is kind of absurd. And will rub people the wrong way.

I think people were more focused on Iron Fist being an Asian-American in order to avoid the even more tired “white man goes to a foreign land, is a fish out of water, learns their culture, ends up being better at said culture than the people that were born and raised there.”

An Asian character knowing martial arts isn’t inherently racist much like an African-American character being a rapper, basketball player or super athlete isn’t. The problem lies in the writing for these shows and those characters.

This is exactly what I was thinking. He could have easily been an Asian-American going back to reconnect or discover a culture he never knew. That would be a far more compelling storyline for a good majority of people.

Damn, was hoping they would have cast an AA actor. Now we’re stuck with the tired “Mighty Whitey” trope. Lame.

Yes, Vanessa is Copycat but she didn’t reveal to Deadpool she was a mutant until a little ways into their relationship in the comics so they could certainly do that in a sequel.

The Wolverine 3 script has been done for a while now and it starts filming next month so I would assume the R-rating was determined well before they saw Deadpool’s performance this weekend...

None of the Punisher or Blade movies were made under Marvel - Punisher was with Lionsgate and the Blade movies were under New Line Cinema.

It’s from the final battle of the movie which Singer confirmed takes place in Egypt.

He sure did, plain as day in an interview a while back.

I thinking they’ll take him out when Magneto, Storm, Psylocke and Angel all figure out that he’s batshit crazy and turn on him.Oscar Isaacs did mention there’s a point in the final battle where it’s just him against everyone.

Kang was ruling ancient Egypt under the name Rama Tut and raised Apocalypse when he was younger.

Mutant’s weren’t known to the public in First Class. It’s was a pretty brief implication in Days of Future Past but it’s during the scene when Trask is asking for more funding early on in the film. It was implied that the CIA covered up the Cuban Missile Crisis incident so mutants weren’t outed to the public until

Our society embraces and accepts minorities but that doesn’t mean everyone loves us or that there isn’t prejudice/racism.

You forgot to post all the great stuff about Alex Shipp on her role as Storm!

How did it create more problems? It basically erased X-Men 1 -3, Wolverine Origins and The Wolverine (which sucks cause I liked that one) from existence. Now they can basically do whatever they want with the timeline created in First Class, continued in Days of Future Past and now in Apocalypse.
