Cutting off the nose to spite the face - great business tactic. This doesn’t hurt anyone but the fans who buy the products. Fox isn’t going to stop making X-Men movies, nor should they, because Marvel has removed them from a t-shirt or by changing their status in the comic books. Really, really stupid on Marvel’s part

It being a “sort of” racist caricature doesn’t mean they still couldn’t have cast an Asian actor and wrote a hell of a script for the character that negated or improved it’s comic origins. Also as someone pointed out below - they could have cast an African-American, Indian, or Asian female.

So we take a character who’s traditionally been an Asian male (a demographic that is woefully underrepresented in media) and change it to a white female?

James Mangold already confirmed the "One more time" is for Wolverine 3. There was a scoop that came out early last week that said his appearance in Apocalypse is only a cameo.

This is truly the end of an era, honestly. Jackman has been Wolverine since I was 14 and I'm 29 now, jeez.

Fox can still use Scarlet Witch, she just can't be an Avenger. They used Quicksilver in DOFP and there was a reference to Wanda in the original DOFP script but Singer cut it during filming.

She's more than likely playing Vanessa Carlsyle aka Copycat, who's been in the script from the beginning as the female lead.

Someone already revealed who the characters were based on the original script+direct quotes from the director and writer. Simon is Weasel, Shirlie is Blind Al, Keren is Angel Dust which they just cast Gina Carano as, Kathy is Negasonic Teenage Warhead which the writers revealed was in the script, Lindsay is Vanessa

I think the characters labeled with 'sequel options' means they'll only be appearing in Deadpool movies whereas 'series option' characters would appear in ANY X-Men movie, regardless if it's a Deadpool movie or not.

Pretty sure it'll probably be some version of SHIP from the comics. After Apocalypse finds it in the mountains of Mongolia it's responsible for turning him into the Apocalypse we're familiar with after he takes control of it.

It's io9, what do you expect? Vaughn is a great director and he continues his streak with this one. Can't wait to see it again.

Got to see this at an advanced screening about two or three weeks back and this film is awesome. Colin Firth kicks so much as in a role unlike anything I've seen from his before, the church scene alone, holy cow. Plus Taron Egerton is a great upcoming actor as well - they both work exceptionally well together.

He mentions familiar door but something new behind it. He has to be talking about the Danger Room.

So they can push back everything to fit in Spider-Man for yet another movie, but we still gotta wait fifty bajillion years for Black Panther and Captain Marvel? Not event a Black Widow movie? Oh okay...

They actually can make movies until the end of time if they want to. Fox has to make an X-Men (and Fantastic Four) movie every x-amount of years in order to keep the rights. If they don't, they revert back to Marvel. That's what happened with Daredevil, Ghost Rider and Blade.

That's the reason why they took it out - it didn't make sense. Singer himself said he felt like it was just there to have Rogue in the movie.

I'm referring to the book. Have seen the musical and yes it is beyond exceptional but I still prefer the novel.

    Still flawless.

Once Upon a Time may be cheesy, nonsensical and just silly most times but damn their costume department deserves every last bit of credit for their styling for their characters. That Cruella De Vil is on point!

    What in the actual fuck.
