“Donald Jr. says visit to Arlington Cemetery made him think of his family’s business “sacrifices”— The Daily Beast
I can’t explain it. It just is the way it is. I’m not proud of it. <Hangs head. Looks for something to jump over.>
I’m not an actor. Is my shirt unbuttoned?
Right. I think the root of Dennis’ problems with SNL–besides his complete lack of a sense of humor and, this week, a bizarre dislike of Kristen Stewart–is that he thinks SNL is a left-wing show that’s failing to provide proper left-wing comedy rather than a center-right show that rarely strays from milquetoast…
Kristen Stewart has the comic timing of...[beat] [beat] [another half a beat]...someone who, uh [quickly glances from the cue card to camera] has bad comic timing.
I’m really looking forward to more Bowen Yang. I find myself laughing at him before he even opens his mouth, and when he does, he’s even funnier!
So, he was an absolute moron with terrible judgment. But he confronted his stupidity, accepted his wrongness, and learned. In 2019, that seems like a fucking miracle.
Honestly, I feel like giving this guy a parade.
He has his own congregation, he has a gospel choir. His faith will reach whatever god damned height it requires to remain tax exempt, and not one inch more, and that is all the talent he will put into it. And not once inch more.
Believing in imaginary beings is a mental illness. That’s why mentally ill people, addicts, and people with brain damage are the ones that most “find religion”. https://www.salon.com/2019/01/08/a-link-between-brain-damage-and-religious-fundamentalism-has-now-been-established-by-scientists_partner/
And for all the terrible movies lately, he says they all make money, and he gets to hang out with his friends and make stupid movies. How can you be mad at a guy for that, really?
Oh, sure. Like, I don’t automatically suspect every Scout or Youth Leader around; some people just legitimately enjoy helping children learn things. That’s cool. But I do think it would be weird if an acquaintance of my ex were to suddenly start befriending my child.
is that mean to Caitlin Jenner? To say that Bruce moved to Calabasas, married a Kardashian, and changed himself into herself -an old white woman? Isn’t that LITERALLY what occurred? I’m not sure why that’s bad to say? He didn’t exactly insult/lampoon or anything to the trans community; it was more a joke about moving…
If you were referring to the “birth name” section of the recommendations, I have to say that the cat is already out of the bag when it comes to someone who was already a world-famous celebrity prior to transitioning.
City of Thieves is a pretty good book. Not incredible or life changing or anything, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. Also, I never read The 25th Hour, but I liked Spike Lee’s adaptation of it quite a bit.
No HBO is the reason that show was successful and HBO putting the right people around those hacks is the reason that show is successful and they just admitted it in that thread up above. Nothing else Benioff has ever touched has been good, I mean he was one of the screenwriters on freaking Gemini Man for crying out…
But, wasn't most of the episodes people liked early on in the show where they were (essentially) following the "study guide" of George RR Martin's finished novels?
Matt Gaetz looks like the kid at school who’s dad bought him a car and thought that made him cool. Damn white folks stop voting for these assholes. Really other than being white and male what are his fucking qualifications to do anything other than be a host at Applebees? I am reminded of the episode of The Simpsons…
Maxipads go on cunts, so this checks out.
