Better that than six seasons of Perrin trying to rescue Faile from the Shaido Aiel.

As a long-time book reader, there are a number of changes they’ve made that I’ve quite enjoyed.

The most intelligent thing Kendall has said in a while was “He doesn’t want it.  He can’t say it, but he doesn’t.”

The election storyline is already wrapped up though in a sense, it doesn’t need to go anywhere. If Jimenez wins, he won’t block the deal, and if Mencken keeps power, he’s already indicated to Mattson that he will keep the deal with an American CEO at the table, which we see. The whole point of that storyline was that

The election storyline was about two things: the first being about whether or not it would stop/allow the GoJo/Waystar merger, the second as a point of contention between Shiv and Roman/their egos/power for powers sake. And both things have resolved, as the deal will go through, and Roman “won”, though not for long.

Okay. Either you’re not actually watching the show, or you just don’t understand the nature of the Waystar-GoJo deal and why Roman and Kendall want Mencken to scuttle it.

Take care.

Love this show, and Mad Men, but I don’t know. Better Call Saul has some incredible writing.

The Logan move would’ve been to call it for Mencken, then immediately start running stories casting doubt on his victory. Then, he could offer Mencken a change in narrative for his support. Of course, none of the kids thought of this.

Black person here with a lot of Black friends who watch succession. The fact that it doesn’t have a lot of Black characters isn’t a bother and makes perfect sense considering it’s a show about the ultra-wealthy and who are part of the political elite, of which Black people (or any other minority) aren’t really a part

If you think those are the jokes, you’re just proving my point.

I once met Mitch McConnell and he was super nice and gracious when we went to deliver a letter condemning his vote on a bill. Later I met a Democratic politician who I truly believe is moral and ethical person and I would vote for them and campaign for them if they ever ran for president but I just couldn’t stand

It is a common fascist tactic to call out hypocrisy as a way of avoiding criticism.

Evangelicals are the nicest people in the world, as long as you’re just like them.

It’s great hear what a show is really about from someone who doesn’t watch it.  Thanks for your insight!

Aww, Baby’s First Troll.

Roman is like a Roy Cohn seed.

The worst thing about her this episode, is that for all her talk about letting the country slide into fascism, it wasn’t enough that she’d be willing to blow her secret deal and relationship with Matsson. If she really cared that badly about Mencken winning, she could have warned Nate that ATN is going to preemptively

They managed to turn Roman from one of my favorite characters to my most hated. This isn’t a dig on the show. I’m just unhappy I fell for the trap of them humanizing him.

It might not fit some people’s definition, but that’s physically abusive to me.

It might not fit some people’s definition, but that’s physically abusive to me. Not to mention it, he’s no saint.
