I agree with you to a certain degree - apple products are well overpriced, and ironically, compared to Windows based PC's, they may actually last 5 or 6 years. But in all honesty, wouldn't you want to upgrade your device in 3-4? All the computers that aren't being supported are from '06 or '07 - I would say it's time…

Excuse my ignorance on this topic but essentially, in order to stream from my phone to say my mac mini, I'll need Apple TV right? Can I skip the Apple TV and stream straight to the mini via bluetooth or wireless and whatever applicable software?
