You're right about the "other guys" phones. While a friend of mine was bragging about his iphone 4, he accidentally swiped it off our table at a restaurant and... well, yeah.

still made outta plastic isn't it? and design wise, it's just a "meh".... after my N1 dies, I'm switching over to an HTC phone or just jumping over to the "other" guys.

then it's plain and simple. michael bay just sucks. that's all there is to it.

i see what you're saying, BUT I do think that there's room for a decent storyline, dialogue AND robots beating the crap outta each other. ... funny you mention star trek, b/c i think the team that brought us the most recent movie, IMO, could be great at taking over the TF series.
