Lucky me. I did this without even knowing about it, based entirely on my hatred of overhyped shopping days.

I ask this with sincerity (since I'm a transplant living in the south that can't make sense of what to think about liking some parts of living here) — how do you separate the loving the city with the fact that the people that built the city largely did so while building the racial divide?

I think that's what they mean when they say they have First Amendment rights and plan to exercise them. They were never bad at math and I think being off by one is within the margin of error.

Simmons periodically tries and is promptly suspended. Until people stop going to the biggest corporate sites looking for unbiased reporting, people will continue to be stupid, I guess.

Now you're really just drawing a line between real life and romcoms.

c) still recognized by at least one other person (I had no idea that was him)

"I always get the joke, but...

Those are some really nice slacks.

For a long time Missouri had slid under my radar on the racist hellhole rankings. This whole Mike Brown thing has been pretty enlightening.

Even with that, I didn't get any ginas in college.

That's why I tend to think this is a mistake (as you hint at in the beginning of this article). I think people give executives and corporate lawyers too much credit. It's not that I think they (we, actually) aren't that evil. It's that I know we aren't that smart. I'd suggest that Hanlon's razor applies here.

It really is funny how much the media is certain they help create the value for the NFL. Even if that is true (it's not), isn't it something to be ashamed of? "Hey look at us, we're fucking lap dogs!"

Sherman's parody was just what a NASCAR driver would actually say after a race.

"Never" is a little strong. They don't intelligently or consistently make it work, but they do once in a while. See, e.g. 2009 with A-Rod, Teixeira, Johnny Damon, Nick Swisher, Matsui, Sabathia and (even) Burnett playing significant roles.

You seem delightful.

I liked this idea a lot until all of the other people pointed out you'd probably never work again.

Bonus +1 for the perfect name for the conversation

I don't get it. He raps about solving arithmetic problems related to mixtures of ingredients. What's the big deal?

are you going to change your name if they do it again?

Damn. Beat me to the punch.
