Lucky!!!

Do you have to pay or is it free?

I once passed on a double yellow line.

I see where he is coming from, I’ve had a ton of sporty/sports cars and out of everything the car I remember most fondly is a Lexus GS400. There is a lot to be said for comfortable V8 cruisers with a ton of sound deadening.

If this isn’t COTD...

I owned a nismo 350z and pretty much hated every minute of it. The plastics, seats, weight, shifter, clutch, power, basically everything were terrible.

I have it in my car and it is permanently turned off. It feels weird and unnecessary to me, plus I have to imagine it’s hard on the starter.

To be fair, it looked like a wreck before the accident.

If I was in the market to spend $500k on a car, I would have a hard time not buying one of these.

The total efficiency is MUCH higher, all things considered.

I think he was being sarcastic about saving the planet... and also those studies have been proven false. Generally speaking an electric car is much better for the general environment than a traditional gas powered car.

I admire that GM keeps making the Camaro better, but in no world would I ever consider owning it simply because outward visibility is so bad. It’s also ugly too, but looks are subjective.

I’ve seen the black one at the Dolan dealership in Reno, NV. What you said was exactly correct, the owner kept it to himself and now has it parked in the showroom. Very cool car.... but I suspect they probably want $500k++, which there is a vast sea of cars I would rather have for that much money.

This guy is very ill-informed on how the world works

Christ, no. You are so wrong. Please go read up on how taxes work and why we have had different tax brackets since forever.

“If you eliminate any tax loopholes that are put in place to garner votes from various groups, or garner donations from various groups, you would end up with a flat tax.”

There are a whole boatload of flaws in your post, but regarding the “they’re not stealing anything”.... well, that’s complicated. Wealthy people hire fancy tax accountants/attorneys (because they can afford to) who know how to exploit loopholes in the tax code. This isn’t stealing in the scope of the law, but morally

10% wont fund hardly enough, it would likely have to be closer to 30%. Poor family of 4 who, in your example, ends up paying even a 15% effective rate after deductions outlined above would be up shit creek.

I’m honestly stunned that anyone thinks that car isn’t gorgeous. It’s one of the most strikingly beautiful modern cars I’ve ever seen.

I live here and this issue does need to be addressed. I wish they would put up some signs that read “Slower Traffic Keep Right” or something like what California does.
Regarding this law - I don’t know how they’re really going to enforce it, but I’m glad it exists.
